The prime suspect in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway has dramatically broken a four-month silence to talk about her final hours.
Speaking about his involvement in the case that has gripped America, Joran van der Sloot, 18, laughed as he swigged beer, smoked menthol cigarettes, and confessed: "I'm guilty — but only of leaving her on the beach." In a series of shocking disclosures, van der Sloot:
  • RAGED viciously at Natalee's heartbroken mother, Beth Holloway Twitty
  • INSULTED Natalee by claiming she was "twisted" and cruelly blamed her for his arrest.
  • BOASTED about having sex on the beach with Natalee
  • TALKED of his hatred for Americans and called them "bitches"
  • CONFESSED he lied to police
  • BRAGGED about how to dispose of a body in Aruba

Joran, still officially under suspicion of rape and murder, went to Holland after he was freed from prison in Aruba on September 2.

The 6ft 5ins honor student quickly enrolled in a business course at a 5,000-student college in Arnhem and, together with his father, Paulus, who was also briefly jailed in the case, moved into a family friend's home in the nearby town of Duiven.

His account of his involvement with Natalee was given to attractive 28-year-old Kristina Pedersen, who got to know him on the Arnhem Business School campus. Over several days, he drank heavily, encouraged Kristina to watch hard core porn and tried to force himself on her. And it quickly became apparent that even now Joran cannot keep his story straight — his account was peppered with the lies that have marked his From Page 34 part in the investigation since Natalee disappeared on May 30.

Kristina said: "One day we shared a jug of beer. Joran looked me in the eye and said, 'Here's to finding Natalee'. "Half an hour later he was trying to kiss me and lure me to a deserted area of a park. Then he suddenly asked me, 'Do you want me to bite you?'"

When asked why he left Aruba, Joran laughed and said: "I was in jail for three months... for a missing girl." He insisted on taking Kristina to the college internet station, where he showed her accounts of the case. "There were pictures of him in handcuffs — and he was obviously enjoying showing them to me. He seemed to think that was pretty cool. It made me nervous." Then, as they drank beer in a pub called De Hangar on September 23, Joran began to give Kristina his version of what happened to Natalee.

"He said that she approached him in Carlos 'N' Charlie's bar and bought a couple of rounds', " Kristina said.

Joran revealed that Natalee lay on the bar and invited him to lick a "jelly shot" — vodka frozen in jelly — from her navel.

"He said Natalee then asked him, 'Do you want to go home with me? and Joran said okay'," Kristina added.

In a dramatic new twist, Joran then claimed that after leaving the bar, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe drove him and Natalee to his home — not to the beach. Kristina said: "They went to his home for a while and then to the Holiday Inn, where she was staying.

"They decided to go for a walk on the beach, and the Kalpoes left. He told me, 'Natalee was totally wasted, and I was drunk. We had sex on the beach'."

Yet in a TV interview recorded just a day later, Joran denied having sex with Natalee and claimed they just "cuddled."

Said Kristina: "He went on, 'Afterwards I asked her if she wanted to go home with me because I had to get up early for school. She said she didn't want to go back there. I told her I had to go, and asked if I could walk her home. She said, 'No — I want to be on my own. I'm staying here.' I left her and went home."

Kristina added: "Joran continued, 'I felt guilty leaving her on the beach. I probably shouldn't have done that, but she wouldn't walk back with me. I had to lie about what happened to the girl because I was the last person to see her. If the lie had been kept up, none of this would have happened'."

O'Reilly boycotts truth to spin French boycott; falsely claimed it "hurt France"

This may be a little old, but I totally agree with Bill on this subject.

On his nationally syndicated radio show, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly touted a boycott of French products, which he began promoting in March 2003 in response to that country's opposition to the Iraq war. Discussing the possibility of calling for a boycott against Aruba if evidence emerged that "the Aruba government is whitewashing" the case of missing American teenager Natalie Holloway, O'Reilly said: "We hurt France, but it took, you know, millions of Americans to say, 'I'm not gonna buy French stuff.' " But the evidence shows that O'Reilly's boycott has not measurably hurt French exports to the United States, which have increased each year since 2002.

Media Matters has repeatedly debunked O'Reilly's false claims of success regarding a French boycott. On April 27, 2004, he asserted that the boycott had cost France "billions of dollars," citing the "Paris Business Review" as a source, but Media Matters documented that Census figures actually showed an increase in U.S. imports from France; additionally, there is no evidence of a publication named the "Paris Business Review."

Later, in a July 6, 2004, letter to the New York Daily News, O'Reilly claimed success because "in the months following the boycott call, France did $138 million less business with the U.S.A. than it did the previous year." In response, Media Matters noted that conclusions drawn from two months of data are meaningless. By contrast, Census figures for a longer time span of four months after March 2003 show that O'Reilly's call for a boycott had no measurable effect on U.S. imports from France; from March through June 2003, French exports increased by $55 million over the same time period in 2002.

Finally, on the July 14, 2004, edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly stated: "French exports to the USA have fallen by more than a billion dollars from 2001 to 2003." In fact, French exports in 2003 increased by $979 million over exports in 2002. This is a more relevant period for measuring the boycott's purported effectiveness, since O'Reilly didn't begin promoting a boycott until March 2003.

That trend has continued: French exports in 2004 increased by nearly $2.39 billion over 2003. In addition, French exports to the U.S. in the first five months of 2005 (through May 2005) increased by more than $1.5 billion over the same period the year before.

O'Reilly has continued to promote and sell "Boycott France" bumper stickers on his website. He renewed his call to boycott France on February 18 and continued to promote his boycott stickers on The O'Reilly Factor, most recently on May 5, June 17, and July 8.

From the July 27 edition of Westwood One's The Radio Factor with Bill O'Reilly:

CALLER: I was just going to say if there's a boycott [of Aruba], all it's going to do is create travel deals for the rest of the country and the rest of the world. And, you know, people are going to go there, especially if, you know, it's affordable. And I don't think a boycott's going to do anything.
O'REILLY: Well, I think you might be right in the sense that, you know, individual boycott, very difficult. We hurt France, but it took, you know, millions of Americans to say, "I'm not gonna buy French stuff." And -- but here's the deal, [caller], here's how you could do this. If it gets to the point where it's obvious the Aruba government is whitewashing the case, then what I'll do is call for the cruise ship companies not to stop there. And that puts pressure on these cruise ships, you know, to either say yes or no.

Joe Mammana and Beth plan strategy

Will retain local lawyer to get Aruba to move on case of missing Natalee Holloway

Entire Article:

BETH TWITTY, mother of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, missing in Aruba, plans to meet today with an international attorney in Philadelphia to see if there is anything more she can do to find her missing daughter.

Twitty, on her way here last night in a limousine provided by businessman and philanthropist Joe Mammana, who has contributed $250,000 in reward money in Natalee's case, declined to name the attorney.

"I want to see what my options are, and how do I go about pursuing those," Twitty said.

Natalee, 18, an honors student, hasn't been seen since May 30, the night before she and other students from her Alabama high school were to return home from a senior week trip to the Caribbean island.

Aruban authorities arrested seven men in her disappearance. including two Surinamese brothers and their friend, Dutch teen Jaron Van der Sloot, 17. They were last seen leaving a bar with Holloway the night of her disappearance.

Van der Sloot allegedly has given conflicting statements to Aruban authorities.

All seven have been released, four of them, including van der Sloot's father, a magistrate, early in the investigation.

Van der Sloot and brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe were released on Sept. 3.

"They did it [released the young men] under the cloak of Katrina," when national attention was drawn away from Holloway's case by the hurricane, Mammana said angrily. He said he has been involved in the case almost since it's inception, after learning about it on KYW radio, and talked daily with Twitty when she was in Aruba and "several times a week" to her husband.

Mammana has provided numerous rewards in cases of crime victims and missing persons, among them LaToyia Figueroa, the missing pregnant Philadelphia woman later found slain, allegedly by the father of her child.

Mammana said he would take Twitty before City Council at its weekly session tomorrow . "They want to acknowledge her. I'm going to bring her in with Councilman Jack Kelly," he said.

Van der Sloot is now studying at a university in Amsterdam.

Twitty said last night she would travel to Holland to publicize the case.

"We've had reward posters printed in Dutch. We wanted to make sure it's out in Amsterdam and in the Hague," she said. Aruba is a Dutch protectorate.

"We are so determined," Twitty said. "We just feel like if we just continue, that something will break." She said she wanted to put pressure on Aruban judicial officials to go further with the case.

"These three young men cannot commit the perfect crime," Twitty said.

She said she believed enough pressure would crack one of the suspects "and we will finally find out what happened to Natalee and where she is.

"Twitty said her family still has hope that Natalee will be found safe. "It doesn't look good, but as parents you always have that hope. It's what keeps you going."

Twitty said she feared van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers kidnapped Natalee, "raped her and murdered her. I'm certain they drugged her. That's my worst-case scenario.

"We know the facts. All three of these men have admitted to having sex with her, that constitutes a gang rape."

Van der Sloot and the brothers originally told investigators they had dropped Holloway off at her hotel the night of her disappearance, prompting authorities to arrest two security guards.

Van der Sloot later said he had been on a beach with Holloway but had left her, unharmed.

Dutch Marines, Aruban police and thousands of volunteers have scoured the tiny island, which says has about 71,000 residents, but have found no sign of Holloway. Searching by divers was going on as recently as several days ago but has turned up nothing, Twitty said authorities had told her.

"They're telling me the case is open," she said.

Twitty said previously the investigation by Aruban officials showed a "level of ineptness [that] has been incredible."

Yesterday, Twitty said she believed Natalee's case had been "mishandled. I would say that there is some level of collusion and corruption that has been going on in the investigation."

Mammana called Aruba "a Third World ghetto," where crimes against American tourists go unreported, and said he planned to help Twitty launch a nationwide boycott of the Caribbean nation.

Mammana, a businessman whose investments include suburban real estate and dairy and egg farming, said he would help Twitty find lawyers to press Aruban authorities to go on with the case.

"We're going to hound and harass these people forever," he said.

"The Aruban government and anybody else involved with this, that we feel did not cooperate and help us."

"We're not doing this for money," Mammana said.

"We're doing this for revenge. Forget justice."

Beth Twitty and JVDS on A Current Affair (VIDEO) Part 1

A Current Affair caught up with Joran van der Sloot in the Netherlands to talk about the night Natalee disappeared. Joran said he lied about the last place he saw her. He admitted the last time they were with each other was on an Aruban beach. Natalee’s mother, Beth Twitty appeared on the show to dispute what Joran had to say.

Was Natalee Drugged?
NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2005

Natalee Holloway's mother says that the Alabama teen may have been drugged the night she disappeared in Aruba almost four months ago.

Beth Twitty also tells The Early Show co-anchor Hannah Storm she's heading to Holland, where a former detainee in the case, Dutch teen Joran van der Sloot, is attending college.

Reacting to an interview van der Sloot gave to the magazine show "A Current Affair," Twitty cast van der Sloot as coming out with one lie after another.

She also repeated her contention that her daughter was sexually assaulted by van der Sloot.

Holloway vanished at the end of a graduation trip to the Caribbean island after a night of drinking with friends.

Van der Sloot, 18, has acknowledged spending the evening with Holloway before her disappearance, but denies any wrongdoing.

Holloway was last seen leaving the bar with van der Sloot and two Surinamese brothers, Satish and Deepak Kalpoe, early on May 30.

In the interview with "A Current Affair," van der Sloot admits he lied about the last time he saw Holloway on the night she vanished, but insists she was fine when they parted ways.

"When her parents showed up at my door with her picture, I didn't even know who Natalee Holloway was," he said. "I didn't even know her name.

" To that, Twitty told Storm, "There have been so many lies that have come out of Joran van der Sloot's mouth that it's so — sometimes I think the only facts we have are all of his lies. It's just incredible that he is going to make a statement like that, that he does — did not even know her name."

In his interview, van der Sloot said: "I kissed with her (Holloway). But neither me, Deepak or Satish ever had sex with her. And no one ever said otherwise."

Asked by Storm if she believes Holloway was assaulted, Twitty said, "Absolutely. And you know, that is strictly coming from Joran's statements. He has admitted this. He admitted this to the interrogators. He admitted this in front of 10 witnesses in the early morning hours of May 31, of the sexual assault that he committed against Natalee. So, yes, that is a fact.

"The family was there as witnesses to (the statements)."

"You were there?" Storm said.

"You actually heard him say this?"

"Yes," Twitty said.

"To at least 10 witnesses. Yes."

When shown another statement from the van der Sloot interview, claiming he'd "never touched a girl in an aggressive way," Twitty said she believes he's lying.

"Oh, absolutely. Absolutely he's lying," she said.

In the interview, van der Sloot says he and the others got together and lied initially to police and to everybody about what happened that night, saying they brought Holloway back to her hotel. Then he says he left her at the beach, but that it was at her request. He says, "I even lifted her up to carry her back to the hotel, and she told me to put her down." He says the only mistake he made was leaving her at the beach.

"The 'only' mistake he made," Twitty said. "You know, I am not even sure if we've gotten to the last disclosed location where Joran last left and saw Natalee. I'm not even certain that that is the last place.

"When Joran led Natalee out of (the bar), she had no ability to make any kind of decision. He even describes her in the same interview (as being) drunk. I don't know what exactly Joran bought her. I believe he had bought her a shot of 151 (rum). Natalee has never had anything like that. I don't even know … what else was in that shot. Joran admits to buying her the only drink that he saw her have that night. He has her talking about a lot of strange things.

"It almost sounds like to me that she is drugged. And in his statements, also, he's saying that she's coming in and out of consciousness. That just doesn't sound like just drunk. It sounds like to me it's a possibility she could have been drugged, also."

Twitty says she's going to Holland "to make sure that everyone realizes and still knows that the reward money is still out there. We have $1 million for a safe return, $250,000 for the whereabouts of Natalee. And we've had posters printed in Dutch that we will be distributing in Amsterdam."

Holloway Suspect Denies Responsibility

Sun Sep 25, 8:18 PM ET

NEW YORK - A suspect in the case of an Alabama teenager missing in Aruba admits he lied about the last time he saw her on the night she vanished, but he insists she was fine, according to a television interview.

Joran van der Sloot, 18, was one of three men jailed this summer in Natalee Holloway's May 30 disappearance. He talked to a producer for "A Current Affair" in Holland, where he is attending college. The interview is scheduled to air Monday.

Holloway was last seen leaving a bar with van der Sloot and two brothers, Satish and Deepak Kalpoe. The three young men were released on the condition they remain available to police for questioning.

Van der Sloot and the brothers initially told police they dropped Holloway off alone at her hotel but later admitted van der Sloot was dropped off with the teen.

"We agreed to lie," van der Sloot said, according to a transcript of the show.

He insists the night ended when he left her alone on the beach.

"She wanted to stay here the whole night. I told her no I had to go. I even lifted her up to carry her back to the hotel, and she told me to put her down," he said in the interview.

Extensive searches have failed to find any trace of Holloway, who vanished on the final night of a high school graduation trip to the Dutch Caribbean island.

Van der Sloot said he had been drinking with Holloway when they left with the Kalpoe brothers.

"Obviously she was drunk. I had stuff to drink, too," van der Sloot said. "She wanted to go with me. I wanted to go with her. It was totally consensual."

Joran: Targeted For Death

Friday September 23, 2005

Police on two continents have been alerted to a plot to kill Joran van der Sloot and two other prime suspects in the case of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway.

Authorities in Aruba, where Natalee vanished nearly four months ago, have warned cops in Holland that there's a price on Joran's head.

Dutch-born Joran, 18, flew there after being released from prison to attend Arnhem Business School.

"There are angry people both in the U.S. and in Aruba who want him and his friends Deepak and Satish Kalpoe dead," a source told The National Enquirer."

Many in America believe the trio have escaped justice in Natalee's murder. Some Arubans are angry that Joran and the Kalpoes have brought so much negative attention to their island.

Officials have been told bluntly: ''They were better off in jail.''

The threat was already obvious an hour before Joran and the Kalpoes were released from prison. A National Enquirer reporter on the scene watched a worried security detail sweep a house overlooking the prison for weapons.

"There have been warnings about mercenaries who are prepared to kill them, and violent people just waiting for the right moment," said the source. "I wouldn't even be surprised if Joran's mother or brother were kidnapped — his enemies might figure it's the only way to get Joran to talk."

Arnhem police spokesman Gohan Rongen acknowledged that they were aware of Joran's presence there. Asked about death threats, he said: "I can't give you any information."

Like I stated on another website This is from the National Enquirer and we all know that they are well known for their gossip and lies/rumors. So I do not believe this for a minute! believe this is just This is just the their way of getting all the publicity they can. And if it it's not already bad enough they want us to feel bad for them while we are at it. They are just trying to make him look like a poor little innocent baby who needs to be protected. I think they'll do anything to make him look like the little victim in this whole thing.

Joran: Now Here's The Truth

In the three and-a-half months since the disappearance of Natalee
Holloway, three suspects in the case have been arrested, released, re-arrested and now released again. Now Joran van der Sloot and his father have fled Aruba for the Netherlands.

Natalee’s mother, Beth, has told Dr. Phil about a piece of information she has never made public before. Dr. Phil asks her to disclose it now.

"Well, when I hear them speaking of they're trying to decide whether Natalee has been raped or kidnapped," Beth says "I have read, I've had translated to me Joran van der Sloot's statements. And one of his statements that I found was huge, and this was the one that he gave on June 13 at 8:30 in the morning, and he now states that this is the truth, quote, this is Joran saying 'Now here's the truth."

Beth continues with Joran's testimony. "Now I want to tell you the truth. I drove Natalee — We drove Natalee to my home at 1:40am. I want her to come in. I have sex with her. Next’ — and remember in all his statements she's coming in and out of consciousness — next he says that then he took her to the beach, he took her to the Fisherman's Hut. And then he calls Deepak at 3:30 a.m. to come pick him up from the Fisherman's Hut. Deepak comes. And Deepak says ‘Don't f**k with the b**ch. Let's go.’ Every statement that he gives, like I said, so sexually explicit and graphically detailed of what he does to her. It just is amazing to me that he can even admit to having sex with her. And that's not a crime?"

"He's released," says Dr. Phil. "Which is just amazing. I mean it's absolutely amazing to me. Now, we also have an affidavit signed by four police officers, correct?"

He introduces Ingmar, a cameraman who is an Aruban resident, and who has helped with the case. Dr. Phil asks Ingmar to tell him about the affidavit.

Ingmar says through a thick accent, "This is a statement where the four policemen that were doing the investigation at the time put on paper what Joran just told them and where Joran was telling that he was with Natalee at the fisherman hut. They laid down on the beach together. On a certain moment she fell asleep and he walks away, leaving her alone on the beach. And the next statement that he gave is that he can point to the policemen where
is the place that Deepak buried the body. So he was like telling that he knows that Deepak did it. He says that he can point to place exactly where Deepak Kalpoe buried the body. So actually ... so this was signed by all four policemen."

"And given to the prosecutor for the justice system and not given to the court," Jamie adds.

Deepak Kalpoe speaks for the first time on the case

Three young men were last seen with Natalee Holloway on the night she disappeared: Joran van der Sloot and brothers Deepak and Satir Kalpoe. All are suspects in her disappearance. None of have ever spoken to the media until now. One of the suspects, Deepak, met with Jamie Skeeters in the lobby of his hotel.

Jamie tells Deepak, "If you did it, don't take a poly from me or anyone else, because you won't pass it. If you did not do it, you're foolish. And the question I will ask you is if you intentionally killed her.''

"No," Deepak says.

"If it was an accident, I can help all of you. And if you guys were partying, even if somebody had given her a date drug," says Jamie.

Jamie continues his line of questioning. "For $25 you can pay a bartender to slip your date a date rape drug in her drink. Does that happen?" Jamie asks.

"I never drugged someone."

"I'm not saying you. But I mean have you heard of that happening?

"I haven't heard the bartender story," Deepak says. "I know there is a drug called Ecstasy. I heard they slip that into drinks."

Next Deepak gives Jamie his impressions of Natalee: "To tell you quite frankly, dressed like a slut, talked like one. Would go in a car with three strange guys and her mother claiming her to be the goody two shoes. Enough of the BS already."

Deepak begins on another issue: "The person that saw something in the morning hours."

"That's the gardener," Jamie clarifies. "The gardener is the one that definitely saw you guys 3:00 when statements were made. This guy remembers exactly what time it was because he couldn't sleep that night. He identified every one of you in the lineup except for one of you — I don't know which one, you or your brother."

"My brother," says Deepak.

"But he didn't. He says because the brother was lying in the backseat and that's going to kill you," Jamie says. "Sometimes your closest friends, if they're worried, and this thing is that big, they'll burn you."

Deepak says, "I don't have any close friends anymore. They're all gone."

"Really? Because of this?" asks Jamie.

"Everything is empty," he replies. "If I knew where the body is I would tell them a long time ago. Let them start a trial and get this over with. I don't care."

Dr. Phil asks Beth for her reaction to what Deepak has said.

She says, "When I hear him speak of Natalee, I want to make it perfectly clear that... Natalee is a virgin and she had never had any of these sexual experiences. When I hear Deepak stating you know how her mother is describing her as a goody two-shoes I mean — Natalee is just a decent young lady who has just — has an impeccable record and just sets high standards. And it all makes sense when I hear Deepak and the bartenders. Yes, these bartenders. Yes, they do slip this Ecstasy into these young girls' shots. It's just unbelievable what they have been allowed to get away with."

"I want to make an observation that I think is important here," says Dr. Phil. "The shrink in me listens to this, and I've studied this young man in news footage and seen how he conducts himself and what he does. Think what kind of unprincipled individual you would have to be to, knowing that a young woman is missing, knowing that her mother is there looking for her and then describe her in that way."

Dr. Phil continues his observation. "To say, you know, 'She's dressed like that, she's acting like that, she's doing those things.' To even say those things knowing that you're talking about someone that may have met with foul play, knowing that family members are upset and worried about it, and then to go forward with those kinds of comments tells you that you're dealing with somebody here that is without conscience, without the ability to appreciate the consequences of their actions. The authorities know what we know. They know that there is this alleged pattern of drugging these girls and then taking advantage of them before they leave the island. So this is not some new revelation. But I want us to be very clear about this. Natalee's history, up to this point, the manner in which she had lived her life. The kind of citizen she was in school, the kind of citizen she was in her community, the kind of citizen she was with her friends and socially and family-wise is absolutely inconsistent with everything that was just said on that tape. There is not one shred of history or behavior to support the ridiculous things that were just said on that tape. "

"Absolutely not."

"So let's be real damn clear about that," Dr. Phil says emphatically.

Kalpoe Mom: "They lie. We all lie"

Natalee Holloway was last seen on May 30th with three young men, Joran van der Sloot and two brothers, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe. Two of Dr. Phil’s investigators, Harold Copus and John Weeks sat down for an exclusive interview with Deepak and Satish's mother, Nadira. She requested that her face not be revealed and after the interview made several attempts to keep what she’d said from being aired on Dr. Phil. For the interview, Nadira sits face-to-face
with the two investigators.

"I want to bring you up to the night that Natalee Holloway disappeared," an investigator begins. "What time did you get home that night?"

"Twelve. After twelve," Nadira says. "What time do you think they got in?" "I assess that it was not four in the morning," she says. "It's, like, before three or maybe three o'clock. How I know they were home? Because I leave my room door always open when they step out, so when they come they just close my door. And that's the sign that they are home."

"Once Deepak and Satish got back, they had been arrested. They told you about not telling the truth about the Holiday Inn," the investigator probes.

Nadira responds, "Come on, we all lie. We all lie. As big people I know that I lie sometimes."

"There's now pretty strong sexual assault charges being leveled against the boys," he says.

"No. They say that they didn't even touch her," she says. "I think that she had hard feelings for them also because they were black."

"What do you think happened to Natalee that night?" an investigator asks.

"It's really a mystery," Nadira says. "Maybe she gone away, or she run away with somebody else, or she still lives here, or she's kidnapped by another person."

"If you could meet with Natalee's mom, what would you say to her?"

"At this moment," says Nadira, "I don't want to meet with her. It's her daughter but it's my two sons too, you know? They are all our kids. I will always say and keep saying that my kids are innocent ... If she's dead then we have to find the body. It's thousands of questions that, you know, all of us are waiting for a solution. And I am begging the Lord, 'Let this girl come out alive.''

Dr. Phil turns to Natalee’s mother, Beth, and asks what she has heard that she finds significant. Beth says, "Something that surprises me is how she says, 'They lie. We all lie.' I can't imagine her just saying that on television. And then also she's destroying their alibi herself. She's saying that they were not home at 3 am."

Dr. Phil agrees. "I mean the whole position that they've taken and they've lied about this before they've said, ‘OK, it was 2:00 in the morning’ that they were home everything was done. They had dropped her back at the hotel and gone. Then later they said, 'well, no that's not right. We dropped her with Joran at the beach.’" He turns to Jamie Skeeters. "Clearly, their
own mother could not confirm their lies and that's why she wanted this interview back after the fact she realized what she had done. Correct?"

"That's correct," Jamie confirms. "She's tried everything that she could do with advice on her attorney, Angelina and others trying to get the tapes back." "When you hear that," Dr. Phil asks Beth, "does it infuriate you?"

"You know they have put me through so much," she says, "the government and the authorities on that island. That I — It's hard for me to even react. I think they have hardened me so." She pauses, fighting back tears. "It's become different. Because you just have to. And even when things are glaring, they're not recognized."
