Abrams Report Discussion on Call For Boycott (VIDEO) 11/08/05

On tonight’s Abrams Report. Dan had several people who were pro and con on today’s decision by Beth Twitty and the Gov. of Alabama to call for a boycott of Aruba. The ‘con’ part of the panel questioned why Beth is doing this and what she is hoping to be the outcome. The speaker of the house in the Alabama congress said America brings so much tourism to Aruba that this would effect the economics of the country.

There is a traveler warning for Aruba, due to their "no body, no crime," "if your a van der Sloot, no crime," "if reporting crime is not good for the travel industry, no crime" mentality.

Aruba is not safe for travelers or its residents until the judicial system is taken off of the "how much money do you have for us to investigate, if not much, its not a crime" list.

What are Dumbpig and K. Jansen saying now? Are they willing to communicate with the VICTIM'S family? The Holloways are the victims here, right?

I can honestly say that I have always wanted to visit Aruba..... that is until May 30, 2005. What is going on here??!! I cannot believe that up until today there is still NO trace of Natalee Holloway! Disgraceful... I believe that many people on Aruba know what happened to her! The island is soooo tiny... why will not one person stand up and talk!? Even anonymously..... I cannot even find the words to express how sorry I am that the family of Natalee had to endure soooo much pain... I can't even imagine..... No one should ever have to go through what Natalee's family is STILL going through! I Will NEVER go to Aruba and am sure that the majority of us Canadians feel the same way!! I so hope that the comment, "Today, tourism is the main pillar of the Aruban economy" from the website will suffer, just as the family is and has been doing for almost 2 years!
