I have built a website specifically for prayers for Natalee. This site will consist of only prayers. For those who want to contribute, you may send your prayers to my regular email address. Please do not post them under this Forum Topic. Not all prayers sent to me may be used as I must be cautious in what I put on the website so as to not offend or upset Natalee's families in any way. No names of submitters will be used on the website simply as a protective measure. The site will have a counter to let you see how many times it has been viewed.

Feel free to comment on the site on the Forum, but please, if you have any derogatory remarks, do not post them on the forum - send them to me via email. I do not want the families to see discouraging remarks.

The website will be a continual work in progress. As I get inputs, I will add them and update the website. The only time that the site may be unaccessible is during the time I am transferring the updated file to the server.

.....she reminds me of what a complete idiot she is. Listening to her tonight on Rita Cosby regarding the Skeeter tape and the potential boycott was GREAT comic relief for me. That's my kind of humor....mindless idiocy.

Arlene claims that people in Aruba "are still working around the clock" to solve this case. What clock are they working around, a broken one?? And exactly WHO is it that is working? Paulus? Did he get his job back already? Hey, maybe with all his criminal expertise he'll be able to solve it.Arlene freaks out everytime the word 'boycott' is mentioned. In the next breath, she says a boycott will have no effect and that the Arubans aren't worried. OK Arlene, if you tell yourself this enough times, maybe you'll start to believe it. In the meantime, don't be freaking out and yelling everytime someone says 'boycott'. If there is nothing for Aruba to worry about, then take a chill pill and settle down.

This is the same chick who claimed that the Aruban Prosecutor (the lovely sack of crap, Karen Jannsen) met with Beth Twitty just a few short weeks ago. It's a shame that Beth doesn't recall this meeting. Karin might have told Beth about all that evidence that they have, and I'm sure it just all slipped Beth's mind. It's understandable, Beth has a lot going on right now.

So Arlene, my advice to you....just shut the f**k up already! mmmK?

A few months ago I was told that the Internet was full of chatter that my husband and Beth's husband Jug were involved in some land deal in Virginia and hence my interest in Natalee Holloway's disappearance. The theme was that I only wanted to pursue this disappearance because of this fictional side business deal. As time marched on, I was told that the rumor on the Internet grew and the land deal suddenly became a very big one and eventually grew to include others from other countries. Since joking privately with my husband about the Internet rumor, I have endured endless teasing from him ("I am thinking of getting a new wife and cashing in on that big land deal I have with Jug... and spending the money on a new wife.") As you might have guessed, my husband has never met — or spoken to — Jug. In short: it's pure fiction.
Now I am told a new twist has emerged: I heard yesterday that Deepak Kalpoe may have told Jamie Skeeters (the polygrapher hired by Dr. Phil to go to Aruba) that I offered him money ($500,000) to do a movie deal with me. We are expecting to get a copy of the tape to see for ourselves what he said. We will keep you updated... keep checking the blog and the show. I am curious how Deepak thought I would pull that off... make the movie on my handycam? And exactly how was I going to hide this from my employer, FOX News Channel? I need to hide it from FOX News since under my contract I work exclusively for them. Any suggestions?

And what about getting others — key players — to sign legal releases so that we could do this movie using their names and likenesses? Would Joran sign off? I don't know... he won't talk to me and now he is in Holland! Beth Holloway Twitty? Jug Twitty? Dave Holloway? Former Aruba spokesperson Reuben Trapenburg? Tim Miller of Equi-search? The many other searchers whose names I don't know and now will have to track down? The chief prosecutor? The judges? The first three men arrested in early June and released? The prime minister? Investigative reporter Tito Lacle? Paul van der Sloot? Editor Jossy Mansur? Attorney Arlene Ellis Schippers? Satish Kalpoe? Satish's lawyer? Deepak's lawyer? Joran's several lawyers? Would they all sign releases or would each of these also demand $500,000? Yikes! This is getting expensive!

I confess I find Deepak's remark curious... why did he feel it necessary to lie about a movie deal with me? Mad at me? Nervous? Got me confused with someone else? While it is certainly NOT proof beyond a reasonable doubt of any guilt, and people lie for all sorts of reasons and even innocent people lie... it does strike me as odd that he felt the need to do it.

It is known that Karin Janssen was and still is the chief of the investigation into the controversial case of Natalee’s disappearance.

There is much pressure on chief prosecutor, from the outside and even within the Public Ministry related to the case in question and she passed very difficult moments where even the government wanted to remove her.

Chief prosecutor Janssen worked hard alongside police to hand over proof on the case of Natalee and although on all sides they encountered many obstacles, they did not lose patience and continued working hard to solve a great problem in which the people of Aruba are not at fault.

None of the negative developments nor the great pressure have made this lady succumb and she has fostered respect and shown great courage.

Once again, a woman in a key position demonstrates that they can maintain a cool head and continue ahead to do their duty and their professional obligation, like Mrs. Karin Janssen has shown during the year.

SCARBOROUGH: A heartbroken mother searches for her daughter, Natalee Holloway, 18 years old, just graduated from high school and getting ready to head to the University of Alabama on a scholarship.

Natalee was last seen Sunday night in Aruba leaving a nightclub. And we first told you about Natalee last night. And she just had graduated from a high school in Birmingham and went on a trip with 125 of her friends. She never showed up for her return flight on Monday, which, of course, started the search.

With me now to talk about Natalee and the search are Natalee‘s good friend, Frances Ellen Byrd, and also Pastor Mark Yoder, who is the youth minister at Natalee‘s church.

Let‘s start with you, Frances.

Tell us about your friend. Tell us about—about what we can do to help out.

FRANCES ELLEN BYRD, FRIEND OF NATALEE: Well, I first met Natalee in eighth grade when we had a welcoming party for her. She moved here from Mississippi.

And, ever since then, I have just been closest friends with her, as well as a few other of all of our good friends. Everybody in the school loves Natalee. Nobody can say anything bad about her. She is a straight-A student, 25 in a class out of 300 students in a very—school where we studied very hard. She is very—has very many honors. She is in dance team, Bible study.

Basically, she is a very responsible, well-loved child to everyone here.

SCARBOROUGH: And, Frances—you were actually with her, Frances, that night. Tell me when you and the rest of your friends first figured out that something was just not right.

BYRD: I figured out something was wrong when my friends came to knock on my door in the morning asking where she was, because Natalee was the first one up. She is the most responsible out of all of my friends. And we all—Natalee is the leader of our friends.

And when she wasn‘t there, we went straight—straight to the chaperons because something—we knew something was wrong.

SCARBOROUGH: And, Frances Ellen, you all are from Mountain Brook.

That‘s a part of Birmingham, correct?

BYRD: Right.

SCARBOROUGH: Yes. That‘s an area that I know well, because I went to the University of Alabama and have a lot of friends there.

Pastor, let me bring you in. I want to ask you about the prayer vigils that you are holding for this young lady. Obviously, a lot of people in your community have been touched by her. Tell us about it.

BYRD: Yes.

MARK YODER, YOUTH PASTOR: Absolutely.

We—the interesting thing, Natalee and her family really don‘t go even to our church. We were asked by some parents of students that went on the trip as well when they got back, hey, can we just have a spot where students and parents and anybody interested can gather and pray? And, you know, that‘s a no-brainer, so, absolutely.

So, every day for the last three days, that‘s exactly what we have done. And it has been a—it‘s not at all surprising because of the community that we are in, but it has been an outpouring of support and love and...

SCARBOROUGH: What are you hearing about this—what are you hearing about this young girl that is missing tonight?

YODER: Absolutely everything positive. You know, as everyone is talking about her and friendships and relationships and her future and what lies ahead, nothing but good things.

BYRD: That night.

SCARBOROUGH: Yes, you saw her the night...

BYRD: I was with her that night.

There is a group in California called M.A.R., Mothers Against Aruba, that is touring California schools and youth organizations talking to both parents and teenagers about restricting travel to Aruba for our youth. Given the recent rape/murder of N. Halloway and Aruba's lack of response, it is NOT safe for our youth (or adults for that matter) to travel there.

I am part of that group. We have 3 more M.A.R. groups working in Arizona, Washington, and Texas.

Mrs. Twitty came with a group of American journalists who were at all times walking with her. And although she told the Strategic Commission that she did not know that some media would follow her to Aruba, it was obvious that they had a very close relationship. Her friend was in the car with an MSNBC producer, for example.

Aruba was supposed to go independent in the mid 90s, but it was held up by the CIA. The CIA didn't want give them independence because the Aruban mafia wouldn't play by the rules... ANY rules... The texas ranger unit that has been sent to Aruba is an intel operation -- Nothing will come of any of this if they continue to think they way they are thinking now. You can't dig up intel and come up with anything this time.

The people who run Aruba are some of the baddest people in the world. If anyone tries to expose them, they will come and kill your whole family... maybe even your whole town! It's NOT worth it... they are more powerful than God -- In fact they ARE God... meaning they are working with the vatican -

If the DJ agrees to take the fall, his family will be taken care of and eventually he will be "disappeared" and one day "reappeared" with a new face and new identity. At least this is what he will be promised.

The way I see it, the intel unit, disguised as Texas Rangers COULD broker the deal if they wake up and realize what they're dealing with. Maybe they won't get their REAL orders til they get there! Right now their orders are to go in and gather intel. This is a joke. Our government knows exactly what's happened. They just don't know where Natalee has been taken.

If she was taken to Costa Rica she could be found because the CIA has assets there and in most other South American countries. The only country where the CIA assets have fled or been killed is Venezuela. If Natalee was sold into one of the Venezuelan sex houses, then no one can find her... except the same people who sold her... the Aruban mafia.

If the heat gets hot enough on Aruba. If the Mafia connection starts popping up in the MSM, that will be bad for business. The US is powerful enough to broker a deal to get Natalee back. What does the Aruban mafia want that President Bush can give them? Since no one will ever know that any kind of deal has ever taken place, it doesn't matter what they want. The hero will be some Aruban detective that traces Natalee to the nightclub ship and to "sex slave traders". No one will ever know the Mafia participation in her sale AND in her recovery!

If she was taken to Saudi Arabia, it will be tricky to get her back, but it could be done. All that would be needed is something to trade something that the Saudis want. If I had my way, I'd give the Saudis whatever they wanted in trade for Natalee, and follow it up with a Nuke! The Saudis are NOT our friends. All Muslim terrorism throughout the world originates from Saudi Arabia. They are the puppets of the City of London. They were created by the City of London!

Article:(CBS 3) PHILADELPHIA Five months after she disappeared without a trace on a class trip to Aruba, the search for missing Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway has united people around the country and around the world.

Her mother is in Philadelphia thanking people for their support in her quest for answers.

“I just want to give a big thank you to the city of Philadelphia because they just have been so supportive,” said Beth Holloway-Twitty.

The mother of missing teen Natalee Holloway, who vanished on Memorial Day while on a school trip to Aruba had words of thanks for the city of brotherly love.

“We have always spoken that we do not have family or friends here but I feel like I do now,” said Holloway-Twitty.

Sadly, she revealed there were no new leads in the search for Natalee, a search she is convinced has been mishandled by Aruba investigators.

“The current investigative team, we have to look into removing them and replacing them,” explained Holloway-Twitty.

As she presses forward in her efforts to find her, Beth came to Philadelphia to help other families of missing children at an all day conference at West Philadelphia High School on Saturday.

Among those joining her will be Melvin Figueroa, the father of murder victim, LaToyia Figueroa.

“The idea is to invite people who have missing loved ones in this city and for them to come forward and tell their story,” stated City Councilman Juan Ramos.

With no end in sight, she says it is the support from other parents that makes all the difference.

“They have just stayed with us since the beginning and we are so grateful because that is the only way we can get through this,” said Holloway-Twitty.

Actually, there's a great deal of interesting talk about the Natalee Holloway investigation in Aruba these days. However, I'm unclear if any of it will result in news. It is possible that Aruba is simply growing tired of being constantly attacked. We'll see, I suppose.

Dompig stressed that the Aruba investigation wants to interview many (or some) of the 120 youngsters from Mountain Brook that accompanied Natalee to Aruba. Read the rest at Hyscience.

Well, it appears, according to the Aruban investigators, that some of the Alabama youngsters claim to have forgotten many of those very things. Translation: the Alabama youngsters have withheld information, if not outright been untruthful.

More here at SM: According to Dompig another important question is also, why is this money not being used to pay for example those who are coming to search in Aruba.

Commisioner Dompig referred to the tremendous work that Fred Golba did with his two dogs some time ago and he explained that Golba wants to come back to keep looking.

Seering as he is searching for funds to pay for his ticket and stay to Aruba to come help, why can’t he get funds from the millions that Beth Twitty has through this fund.

This is also a very important part in the investigation. This because in a case like Natalee’s there are different scenarios. One scenario is that a person killed Natalee, or for whatever motives Natalee isn’t alive anymore.

Another scenario could be that she’s alive, but this whole case is a “set up”, for gain in some way or the other.

A possibility is for example where it is said that he/she died, where they can get the money of the life insurance of the person, while in reality he/she did not die, but another way is like this fund, where people of good hearts send money to this fund and the family enrich themselves.

If the mother gives information on the amount of money and how much she is spending and on what, then there is not a problem, however if the mother keeps everything a secret and does not cooperate with people who came to help find her child, this because a part of the investigation, because it gives the case another light.

ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) -- The mother of an Alabama teenager who vanished in Aruba has returned to the Dutch Caribbean island to press authorities to solve her daughter's disappearance.

Beth Holloway Twitty left Aruba in early September after a court ordered the release of three local men who were the last people seen with her daughter, Natalee Holloway, on the final night of the teen's high school graduation trip to the island.

Twitty, who arrived Tuesday, told reporters that she wanted to meet with prosecutors and police to discuss a taped interview in which one of the local men who had been held as a suspect allegedly says all three had sex with the 18-year-old Holloway.

"I want to keep the communication channels open with the police and prosecutor," she said, adding that so far the prosecution has declined to meet with her.

Holloway was last seen early on May 30 leaving a bar with Dutch national Joran van der Sloot and Surinamese brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe. They were arrested on June 9 but released after a court ruled there was not enough evidence to hold them.

Her body has never been found and authorities have announced no developments since the release of the Kalpoe brothers and van der Sloot, who has moved to the Netherlands to attend college.

Twitty said police have told her that authorities are analyzing an audiotape of an interview of Deepak Kalpoe by an investigator hired by a U.S. television program, the "Dr. Phil" show.

On the tape, Kalpoe says Holloway "dressed like a slut," and that he, his brother and van der Sloot had sex with the U.S. teen. Twitty said police told her that investigators are trying to make sure the tape has not been altered.

Kalpoe's attorney and Aruban authorities did not immediately respond to phone calls seeking comment on the tape. Van der Sloot, in a television interview in September, said he had kissed Holloway but neither he nor the brothers had sex with her.

Likely the same evidence that led to the security guards being arrested and held in jail.

Also the same evidence that is directing the searches near the fisherman's hut.

And just what is that evidence Ms. Jannsen?

Just how did you dupe the Kalpoes? The drugs they gave Joran were responsible for Natalee's death so you told them they were now party to a murder? Probably betting they wouldn't realize that maybe it wasn't the drugs but Joran alone who killed Natalee. It worked, you hooked them. But now you can't shake them.

You would have turned on them from the beginning if you could. The security guard scapegoat didn't stick so you tried the Kalpoe scapegoat and it doesn't remove the stench from Joran van der sloot.

I have worked as a court stenographer for the past 18 years in the states. I would love to take my insight, knowledge and perception to Fox News. I wish they would discover me. I have reported thousands of criminal and civil proceedings. I so very often sit patiently just performing my skill, all the while just wishing that I could take over. I have trained myself in my profession to observe the entire picture. I all too often do not hear the entire picture brought to light. In observing the entire picture, one must never lose site of even the smallest of detail. One tiny segment that I would like to share with whomever may read this is that at one point I observed Mr. V., Sr. hustling back into his vehicle early on in this tragedy coming about. Fox News had shown a segment where this man was videotaped head-on straight through the windshield of his automobile. Now this automobile appeared to be a relatively newer vehicle, yet there were CHUNKS removed from this man's steering wheel in this film segment. I never to this day heard anyone else comment on why there were CHUNKS removed from this man's steering wheel, or that they thought perhaps it might even be strange. I picked up on this. I would love Fox News to review this film clip. I pray we find a clue. Oh, by the way, the next time I observed this man getting into a vehicle, it was a totally different make and model.

That's the way Dave Holloway, formerly of Clinton, responds when people ask him how he's coping with the disappearance of his daughter, Natalee.

"If you do, you know exactly how I feel," he said, referring to tightly strung emotions tinged with loss and frustration since his daughter went missing May 30 on the last night of her senior trip to Aruba.

Instead of preparing to celebrate Natalee's 19th birthday today, Holloway was packing for his fifth trip to the Caribbean island to personally take part in the search for the missing teen with the help of Texas EquuSearch volunteers and Aruban investigators.

Natalee Holloway, who grew up in Clinton, moved to Mountain Brook, Ala., after seventh grade when her mom, Beth, married George "Jug" Twitty. The teen had traveled to Aruba with Mountain Brook High classmates and chaperones.

"With the new Aruban deputy police chief (Gerold Dompig) in place, it's like starting all over," Dave Holloway said in a phone interview. "He says he's going back to the beginning and going forward from there.

"Even if I'm not searching for her in Aruba or following up on tips on the computer here in Meridian, she's still on my mind," he said. "It's hard to concentrate on anything else.

"She remains on the minds of many of her friends and former neighbors in Clinton, including Clinton High Principal J Reeves. Reeves and his wife, Wanda, were neighbors when Natalee and her brother Matt, now a high school junior, were growing up in the Cascades subdivision.

"We continue to pray for Natalee and her family. Hopefully, they will soon be able to get the answers to the questions that have to be haunting them daily," Reeves said.

Part of what keeps the story of Natalee's disappearance front and center is the mystery surrounding it, he said. "The answer could be very simple, or it could be very complicated. No one can figure it out."

While Beth Twitty worked to spread the word, Holloway concentrated on a physical search. He spent days and nights combing the island that stretches 20 miles long and 5 miles wide.

"It's a small island, but it's surrounded by ocean. Then there are other islands and other countries," he said. "Is there more to it than just these three (suspects)? I can't say. I don't have evidence that points one way or the other."

The trip to Aruba is the fifth for Dave Holloway, who has concentrated his efforts on physical searches for Natalee, while her mother, Beth Twitty, has worked to keep her daughter's case in the media spotlight.

"Even if I'm not searching for her in Aruba or following up on tips on the computer here in Meridian, she's still on my mind," Dave Holloway said in an interview with his hometown newspaper. "It's hard to concentrate on anything else."

Holloway has said many times in interviews that Aruban investigators should go back to the beginning and start the investigation over and that may be exactly what is happening now that Gerold Dompig, a new deputy police chief, is on the case. "He says he's going back to the beginning and going forward from there," Dave Holloway said.

Dompig has promised action if media interviews with the suspects in the case -- in which they admitted having sex with Natalee on the night she disappeared -- turn out to be accurate.
"They always denied having sex with this young girl," said Dompig. "And so, in looking at the tapes, to watch if this is really what this gentleman has said, then it is totally contrary to what he has declared at our police station."

Case 'Will Turn Around Fully'"I assure you that, once this is verified, and if it's legitimate, the case will turn around fully," Dompig said. "And it will be for us absolutely enough new information to talk once more to this young man, or, as a matter of fact, with maybe to all three."

Beth Twitty claims to have a transcript of a police interview with Joran Van Der Sloot in which he claims he had sex with Natalee while she went in and out of consciousness, but Dompig says the Dutch teen never made such a statement to police.

Natalee Holloway has been missing since May 30, when she was last seen leaving a nightclub in Aruba with Joran Van Der Sloot, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe.

WHERE IS NATALEE HOLLOWAY?

The original lie was that Natalee was dropped off at the Holiday Inn and approached by two security guards, a description of whom was given in enough detail that two such men were quickly identified and arrested. Her body was hidden where the original lie says it is, period: The high rise hotel strip area, near Marriott and Holiday Inn. The most harmless scenario for the three boys involved was to say that they quickly dispatched Natalee back to her hotel since it was observed that she may have been tipsy at the time she was seen driving off with them. Furthermore, it has been said that Natalee did return to her hotel room briefly to retrieve something and left again and so, in the event that someone may have seen Kalpoe's car in the vicinity of the Holiday Inn subsequent to leaving Carlos and Charlie's while she got something from her room, they had to cover for the car potentially being seen near the Holiday Inn. Therefore, the story was concocted BEFORE the hiding location near Holiday Inn or Mariott was chosen, and her body was placed where it was in order to support the original lie.

2001 Aruba trip report describing an "Old Hotel's" remnants Near the Marriott & Holiday Inn "we walked past Marriott to where an old hotel once stood and old craft stalls were. This area also had windsurfing booths set up for young and old.. Pretty trashy, no luck but best area for finding many seashells."

The story-fabricators also selected two security guards known as regularly patrolling in the vicinity of said hiding place as the scapegoats. The body-hiding consultant being familiar with a hiding place close to Natalee's hotel, the Holiday Inn. In other words, the body-hiding consultant has been to this hiding place before, it was not a quick, random choice or created for the occasion. Ergo, her body will be found within the security guards' customary patrol area. (This does not mean that the body-hiding consultant has hidden other bodies but he may know of the existence of other bodies in the selected hiding place).

Why were the guards singled out and not "a stranger" or nobody? Why bring a potential perpetrator into the alibi at all? This tells you that Joran and the Kalpoes do know that something happened to Natalee and it tells you that they all concocted a story that might fly in the event that the hiding place in *THE GUARDS CUSTOMARY PATROL AREA* is found with Natalee inside. It also tells you that Steve Croes was the one who suggested the body-hiding place close to where his boat is usually anchored. So Croes knows the Kalpoes better than he says since they brought him into it early on with the initial intention of using his boat and before fine-tuning the original alibi. Croes discouraged that idea, not wanting to participate, suggesting instead the guard story along with a good hiding place near Holiday Inn that he was familiar with since this is his territory. He knows the security guards' patrol routine and could describe them in detail. Croes is the one that the guards need to be mad at. Why did these two, specific individuals come to mind when they were not even on duty that night instead of some random, fabricated individual? Because Croes had to duck those two guards in the past while visiting the hiding location for a different reason and therefore the guards were the first scapegoats to come to mind when fabricating a story about how Natalee will have come to be found in the location of the guards' customary, nightly patrol.

The location of Natalee is further confirmed and identified by the second, (adjusted), story which is currently that the Kalpoe brothers dropped Natalee and Joran off alone on the beach near the Marriott. This is also a lie. (since they did not allude to the fact that Natalee was now deceased when dropped off there with Joran) The adjustment in the story indicates that her location may be closest to the Marriott in particular. The body of Natalee Holloway was hidden on land in the Palm Beach area of the hotels. To frame the security guards, she could not be put out to sea and potentially disappear forever because the Kalpoe's car might have been observed waiting at the Holiday Inn while Natalee retrieved something from her room. The body was put in a place where it could be found. Her body was meant to be discovered, initially THE BODY WAS HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT. The intention of the original lie was to frame the guards and absolve Joran and two Kalpoes of being the last people to have Natalee in their possession, a better scenario all around since Croes did not want to involve himself or his boat. It is said that Paulus Van Der Sloot made the statement that there is "no case without a body", to the boys. This probably precipitated a call to Croes to use his boat.

WHAT HAPPENED TO NATALEE HOLLOWAY?

Joran and the Kalpoe brothers did not deliver Natalee to the beachfront, high rise strip and leave. They only stopped by for Natalee to get something from her room and then they all left together. They may have driven around some and they may even have visited the lighthouse as stated but, ultimately the Kalpoe brothers dropped Natalee and Joran both off at the Van Der Sloot residence where Joran has his own apartment, separate from the main house. The currently held scenario is that Paulus Van Der Sloot had picked Joran up from a McDonalds around 11:00 p.m., took him home and then went about his business, assuming that Joran was home for the night. Did Joran or Paulus bring a "walnut salad" home from McDonalds? That was mentioned.

It is also currently held that Joran sneaked out off the property at some point and went to Carlos and Charlie's where he met back up with Natalee who was to return home the following morning.

The Van Der Sloot property has a pool and is gated. My contacts say that Natalee fell off a gate. They also describe a "Victorian Pool", which means that there may be a gazebo there or something Victorian about the surrounding area or the home. This pool, (or the gate) according to them, is supposed to be angular in some way. The angular comment could possibly apply to an angular object near the gate that she fell onto. It's difficult to tell the context of the angular remark. My contacts describe Natalee as "dopy" at the time she fell off the gate so it is not to say that going to a boy's home in the middle of the night is something that she would ordinarily do. So the Kalpoe brothers dropped Joran and Natalee back at Joran's house and this gate may have been closed and locked. It could be that the gate was not locked, but simply that opening it would have made enough noise to alert Daddy Van Der Sloot to a returning Joran and his company. Natalee either fell off the Van Der Sloot gate sneaking onto the premises with Joran or she had to climb that gate a second time trying to run away from the property.

I think that she was trying to run away and I think that she may have been "taken advantage of", prior. In any case, she fell from the gate and was injured to an unknown degree. This is when Paulus Van Der Sloot becomes aware and involved and the Kalpoe brothers were called back to the residence to discuss the details of where their car and Joran in particular might have been seen with Natalee after Joran sneaked out and met up with her. This, because she was in bad shape or unconscious by the time Paulus Van Der Sloot comes into play. I believe that the Kalpoe cell phone record of the first call from Joran is going to show that Kalpoe was called from the Van Der Sloot home to come there and help remove Natalee; Not to pick up Joran from the Marriott area as they all now say. This would be why there was blood in the Kalpoe car. If they dropped off a deceased Natalee and Joran near the Marriott to meet the body-hider, they may have changed their story to Marriott beach to explain their car potentially being seen there. That's why the current lie reveals and refines Natalee's location as closer to the Marriott rather than the Holiday Inn. They are all still in cohoots but currently, the Kalpoes are trying to distance themselves from further involvement with Natalee once they dropped her and Joran at Van Der Sloots', since they were not at the scene when she died but they do have to cover for the first call received from Jorran, and they needed to cover for the potential of their car being seen at Marriott beach.

My contacts continually cite Paulus Van Der Sloot as the killer and they observe Natalee with tape or something was over her mouth. Because of this, I suspect that it was Paulus who suggested application of the tape or a gag while she was unconscious lest she come to and start hollering, and she suffocated or otherwise succumbed to her injuries while Paulus and Joran were trying to figure out what to do about her. I have mention of her being in a garage at a certain point in this, but I don't know if Van Der Sloots have a garage. If so, that's where they had her. I do not think that her death was intentional and it could be that they would have taken her to the hospital, but I do think that a trip to the hospital was not immediately undertaken as they discussed what to do with the circumstances at hand. She was probably at death's door and possibly showing evidence of being "taken advantage of" by the son. The circumstances had the potential to create a career derailing scandal for "The Judge" and she died as options were being weighed.

WHO HID NATALEE HOLLOWAY?

I don't think that Van Der Sloot, Sr. has ever had to dispose of a body before but he is in the position to know who would and could. He or Joran knew somebody on the Island in need of exchanging favors and my contacts are naming Lorenzo Van Rijn as that person. I don't know if they are related. Once the cover story was agreed upon between Van Der Sloot, Sr., Joran, the Kalpoes, Croe, and possibly some other confidants who were asked for advice, I believe that Lorenzo was called. He was asked to stash her and Natalee was taken by Joran with the returning Kalpoe(s) in Kalpoe's car to Lorenzo to remove the rest of the party except Joran from culpability for the actual disposal of Natalee. They most likely wanted Kalpoe(s) to take her to Lorenzo alone but they declined to go without Joran and possibly be held liable for the incident. Kalpoe(s) then dropped Natalee and Joran off with Lorenzo and the Kalpoes went home. Joran advises Kalpoe that he will be in contact via the internet later as a means to avoid more cell phone contact. I believe the Kalpoe mother is aware that the boy(s) left the house again.

After Natalee was hidden, Joran most likely walked home as he currently states. All of their stories are going to have an element of truth in order to cover potentially having been seen. I don't think that Lorenzo would be stupid enough to be seen dropping Joran back at the crime scene and I'm sure that daddy was cowering on the premises in a state of shock while she was being disposed of; hence text message to Deepak from Joran that he got home okay; indicating that the hiding task was completed without incident.

When the latter cleaned out his desk in the Aruban court he worked was, it wasn’t because he quit, however because he was banned. According to Jossy, Paul is not allowed to enter a courtroom anymore unless it is for civil matters.

Jug Twitty appeared on the show to discuss what Beth will do when she arrives in Aruba. Twitty says she will meet with her lawyer and District Attorney Karin Jannsen. Jug also recounts the night he first encountered main suspect Joran van der Sloot.

Reporter: I know you are a smart kid. We know you are an honor student. You are athletic. I am very glad I didn’t have to chase you because…

Joran van der Sloot: No, there is no use to start running or anything like that, since you guys are here anyway. But, I just wanted to say that I do feel bad for Natalee’s mother, if Natalee is really missing, if something bad happened to her. But yeah, I just want to say that I don’t like the way people are going around with this case. I don’t like the media attention. And, I don’t like that people start boycotting Aruba, because Aruba is a beautiful island and I love it. I lived there my whole life, and just makes me feel bad that so many people have to suffer now, because of one person missing.

Reporter: What was the last.. I know you had a little relationship with her a bit, right?. So, what would you... how would you describe her?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, when I talked to her she was very nice. And yeah, that is all I have to say.

Reporter: What were your feelings towards her?

Joran van der Sloot: I didn’t have any feelings towards her, because I met her that night. I didn’t know her before that.

Reporter: Ok, because I think she talked to some people, and I think she said, you guys had been going out a little bit before.

Joran van der Sloot: No, we had not gone out before at all.

Reporter: So, can you help us understand ‘cause I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt, I mean you seem to be a guy who is smart and who knows what he is doing. So, can you understand why it seems you have not been forthcoming with the police?

Joran van der Sloot: I just hope that people leave me alone and I can live my life like a normal person. That is all I am hoping for. I know me and my friends lied. And I am really sorry for that. I feel horrible for that, I really do, but, I mean, I can’t take it back now. It is too late for that. But, I just want everybody to know that I did not harm Natalee in any way. And yeah, I just hope she is fine, I hope she is ok. And, I hope sooner or later, her family finds her.

Reporter: But, why did you lie that first time?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, I lied basically, because I was scared. And that is the truth.

Reporter: Right, you lied because you were scared.

Joran van der Sloot: Yes, because I didn’t want to admit to leaving her alone at the beach.

Reporter: And, what was going through your mind at that time?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, at that time, I don’t know. I was there. She didn’t want to come back to the hotel. I had school the next day. I told her I had to leave. And she didn’t want to listen, so, basically, I thought, "Ok, then, if you want to stay here, then you stay here." And that is the truth.

Reporter: And that is the last thing that happened?

Joran van der Sloot: Yes, that is the last thing.

Reporter: And, what was the last thing that she said to you?

Joran van der Sloot: She didn’t say any last thing to me. The last thing that I said to her is, "Bye."

Reporter: You said, "Bye?"

Joran van der Sloot: Yeah.

Reporter: What about the other two guys? What did the kalpoe brothers…?

Joran van der Sloot: The other two guys dropped me off there, and from everything I know, they don’t know anything else. And I feel very sorry they got into this mess too. Because, somehow, I feel that it is my fault.

Reporter: The things about the beach obviously, you are three big guys. Do you have a sister?

Joran van der Sloot: I do not have a sister. I have two brothers.

Reporter: You have two brothers. So you have little ones. And you are the big one?

Joran van der Sloot: I am the oldest.

Reporter: Ok, so the oldest one usually has to be the most responsible one.

Joran van der Sloot: Yes

Reporter: I am the oldest too. How did you feel? She is a young girl. You are from Aruba. You were already there. You are the guy that knows everything about Aruba.

Joran van der Sloot: Well, first of all, she was 18 and I was 17, at the time. I know that does not say much. Because, I feel older. But, at the time, it didn’t seem like a bad thing. I mean, it didn’t seem bad. Now, I regret it, of course. I will probably regret it for the rest of my life. But, there is nothing I can do about it now. I can’t change time. I just want to go on with my life and I hope people let me go on with my life.

Reporter: I think they will, but I think the problem is, you have to understand, you are... you don’t have a child yet, but the mother, I mean, the Beth Holloway.

Joran van der Sloot: I do understand completely for her, and I feel horrible for her, but, what I don’t respect is her going on TV and boycotting Aruba. It makes no sense.

Reporter: But, she is going through so much personal pain. I mean the thing is, the problem is, she doesn't know what happened to her daughter.

Joran van der Sloot: Yes, and neither do I. So, what more do you want me to do? I told the truth. I know she knows the truth. And, I know she read most of the statements in the case and, yes, that is all.

Reporter: What is your theory of the case?

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t have a theory, because I am not going to speculate what other people are doing, because all that people are doing is speculating. No one knows anything. For what everybody knows, she is a missing person. And I hope to God she is alive and I hope to God they find her.

Reporter: You are going to be doing something.

Joran van der Sloot: No, I don’t blame her at all for what she is doing. I don’t blame her at all. But, during the period I was in jail, I wanted to talk to her, I was willing to talk to her. My lawyer told me it wasn't the best thing to do, because she can say, I told her anything. And yeah, so, I didn’t talk to her. And now, I don’t feel like talking to her at all, because look at what she is doing to a beautiful island with a hundred thousand people on it that rely on tourism and she's boycotting an island that can have consequences for one hundred thousand people. Which, for me, it makes no sense at all.

Reporter: What are your plans now? What are you trying to do?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, I am studying business at the school here. Right now, I have to be getting to class, but, and I just plan to, at least, finish my first year and see how it goes.

Reporter: Do you have a girlfriend here?

Joran van der Sloot: No, I do not have girlfriend here.

Reporter: What are you planning to do with your life?

Joran van der Sloot: I plan to continue my life normally. I want to study sports management in the States. Obviously, that is not a good option now, the States. This case has been so blown up in the States, it is ridiculous. And, I just hope I can go on with my life. Let's see how things go. Hope the case gets solved. And, if it gets solved, then everything will be fine. I can go on with my life. I can even go continue my study in the States. I can do anything I want.

Reporter: Are you afraid? I mean, some people in the States are pretty upset with you, because they feel you are concealing something and a girl is missing.

Joran van der Sloot: I am not afraid. Afraid is a bad statement to use. I just don’t.... I understand (hearing) from people, "You lied, you must be hiding something." But, I am not hiding anything, but, I know only time will tell that. Then the truth will come out.

Reporter: And, I mean, what are, is, your worst nightmare in this situation?

Joran van der Sloot: My worst nightmare is, of course, is, if something bad happened to Natalee, everyone might think that I did it, maybe Deepak or Satish did it, and I feel that is what scares me a lot. That is the only thing that I am scared about.

Reporter: But, I mean the thing is for me... imagine you are involved in this completely, so, I mean, obviously it is very difficult for you to try and be objective. But, imagine seeing it from another person's perspective.

Joran van der Sloot: Oh, I have tried to see it from another person's perspective a hundred thousand times. I have tried to see it from an American point of view. I tried to see it from Natalee’s parents' point of view. I understand it for them. I really do. What they are doing, but it makes no sense to boycott an island that relies on tourism.

Reporter: I mean, I know you were 17 and she was 18, but she is a girl and you are a guy. The three big guys get into a car with a girl from high school and she disappears. She is never seen again. Obviously, people are going to be pointing their finger at you.

Joran van der Sloot: And, I don’t blame them. I don’t blame them.

Reporter: So, I mean what do you say to that?

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t have anything to say to the people. I am just happy that so many people have supported me through this. I have not lost a single friend. I have also got so many support from so many Americans, which I didn’t expect. I am still getting letters, every week, from people that support me. And I am happy that there are a lot of good people in the world that do believe in me and that nothing bad happened. (Motorcycle noise)

Reporter: What do you feel in your heart?

Joran van der Sloot: In my heart, I feel bad, of course, because myself, I don’t know what happened and that bothers me a lot. And I just hope that everything comes out and I can have rest, too. I can sleep better at night also.

Reporter: So are you afraid of going back to prison?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, I mean, the three months I was in there, it was hard. It wasn’t fun at all, of course. But, I mean, I tried to make the best of it. I always kept my head up and I knew that I was innocent, so I knew that they would have to let me go. The other thing I don't respect, at all, is how people criticize my dad. The real thing is, because no one can make sense of the situation, they start pointing fingers all around and all of the evidence shows that nothing bad happened. There is not one tiny bit of evidence that points to us. They even tested my DNA and Satish and Deepak’s DNA, against the judge's orders, and they even found out that it wasn’t our DNA that was on Natalee’s toothbrush and I would like to know who’s DNA that was. I’d for them to maybe look at the kids that were in her group. The kids that came with her. I think that it is important not to have tunnel vision and not to point fingers at one person. But, to take the case and look in other directions.

Reporter: Now, for this grieving mother, all of America is going to watch this, because you are talking frankly for one of the first times…

Joran van der Sloot: Yeah, I don’t want to be talking right now, but it doesn't have much use to run away from you guys. And …

Reporter: What do you have to say, because a lot of people are going to be listening to what you have to say. They are going to try to understand what you have to say to her mother.

Joran van der Sloot: That is the point no one understands. No one understands and I am just happy my family supported me through this. My friends supported me through this. And, I still have so many people that love me.

Reporter: What do you have to say to Beth Holloway?

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t have anything to say to Beth, not one thing at all.

Reporter: What are your memories of Natalee like?

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t really have that many memories. I mean, I knew her for one night. I feel stupid…I feel horrible that I even went out that night without my father knowing. I should've just stayed home and this would not have happened to me. It would've happened to another person. I try to look at it, that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe even with the wrong people. And I just hope that the truth comes out. That this comes to some clarity in this case.

Reporter: But do you understand I mean how can a girl just disappear?

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t know. I think that is the million dollar question now.

Reporter: I mean what happened that night? Why don’t you tell me what happened, just a little bit?

Joran van der Sloot: First of all, it is none of your business what happened. That is an investigation, which is still going on. And I just again, I am saying, I hope she is okay. I hope she is fine. And, I hope her parents find her.

Reporter: What happened down at the beach?

Joran van der Sloot: That is none of your business. That is part of the investigation.

Reporter: Ok. Have you had other girlfriends before?

Joran van der Sloot: Yes, I have had other girlfriends before.

Reporter: And were you seeing anybody when you were with her?

Joran van der Sloot: Yes, I was seeing someone when I was with her.

Reporter: So was that…were you cheating on this other person with her?

Joran van der Sloot: Yes, I cheated on this other person with her.

Reporter: So, what happened as a result of that?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, obviously, she still supported me and we are still friends. And she came to visit me and she is a very nice person. I just…,of course, we broke up, of course, it….cause what I did was wrong.

Reporter: You mean, because you cheated with Natalee?

Joran van der Sloot: Yes.

Reporter: And, because you got into a lot of trouble?

Joran van der Sloot: And I got into a lot of trouble.

Reporter: If you can could do it over again what would you do?

Joran van der Sloot: I would've just stayed home that night. I would not even had gone out. It was Natalee, who asked me to go out with her. It was her that asked me to come to the club. It was her that was yelling at me to go dance with her. And I said…and I went to go drink something with my friends. It was her that wanted to come with us. I mean ,I don’t understand it myself. I don’t…yeah. (motorcycle noise)

Reporter: I mean, are you that irresistible? Is that is…

Joran van der Sloot: No, I don’t know. That is absolutely not what it is about. I don’t know. When her parents showed up at my door with her picture I didn’t even know who Natalee Holloway was. I didn’t even know her name.

Reporter: How can you not know her name, if you saw her the night before?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, I saw her the night before, but it was not like I had a conversation with her for 3 hours. I mean we barely talked. She told me a couple of things about herself, where she was going to school. Where she was from. She told me a couple of things about her family that I thought was really strange. And that was about it. (Motorcycle noise)

Reporter: What did she tell you? That you can remember.

Joran van der Sloot: She told me a lot of things. One thing she told me was that her mother was Hitler’s sister's daughter. I don’t know what she was talking, a lot of strange things. She told me she wanted to go to the light house and see sharks, which we never went to. But, I don’t know, she talked a lot of things. Obviously, she was drunk. I had stuff to drink too. Now, I don’t respect that the Aruban authority tried to pin that it was a rape case. She wanted to go with me. I wanted to go with her. It was totally consensual. I had something to drink. She had something to drink. And, I just don’t think it is fair that people…that they even held me three months, because, the fact is, that in the United States they would not even... they never would've even been allowed to arrest me. The Dutch system works in the way that, if…you can be arrested on suspicion. (Motorcycle noise) In the United States, you need hard evidence. There is not one evidence in this case that shows something bad happened. I have never touched a girl in an aggressive way in my life. There is not one girl that went forward and said otherwise. And, I only have good declarations in my name, so.

Reporter: But, I mean, I know you have don’t have a record, and I know that a lot of what you are saying appears to be true, but, I mean, essentially I see as if you are saying like you didn’t have anything to do with it. "She wanted to be with me she wanted to come out with us…"

Joran van der Sloot: That is truth.

Reporter: It is all her.

Joran van der Sloot: I am not saying its all her…I liked her. I thought she was very attractive and I went out with her. And that is how it went. We even stopped on our way outside of Carlos and Charlies... we stopped. She said that one of her friends yelled to her to get out of the car. She wanted to stay in the car. Deepak even stopped and allowed her if she wanted to get out. She said "No." And she stayed with us in the car. It was totally her choice.

Reporter: Right, but you guys are gentlemen. You don’t have a record…

Joran van der Sloot: No, we don’t have any police record.

Reporter: They (the Kalpoes) don’t have any record, either. So, I mean, how again can I ask you the same thing. You seem to be…I know you are a bright young guy, I know you are an older brother to somebody else, right? You explained that to me. How do you leave a girl on the beach?

Joran van der Sloot: Very irresponsible, I know, and that is the one thing I would like to take back. But, at the time, it just did not seem wrong.

Reporter: And the other thing is that is a little strange. There is nothing left. I mean, also her… there is no evidence. There is no body.

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t know what happened. I don’t know where she is. And…

Reporter: Where do you think she is?

Joran van der Sloot: I told you, I am not going to speculate what. That is all other people have been doing is speculating and there has been so much bullshit that people have have talked on TV, and people have come forward and said things that make no sense and things that… It is just sad what some people do.

Reporter: But, I mean you are from the island. You are not some guy who is a tourist, who does not know what is going on. So when I asked you what happened to her, I am not asking some guy that does not know anything. I am asking some guy that is from Aruba.

Joran van der Sloot: That is why, in the beginning, I thought she ran away with someone on the island. She ran away with a beach bum. I don’t know. Someone on the island that she might have met before. That was my first reaction. And yeah, and afterwards, that is what we talked about to the police, and the police even agreed with me, and I just feel bad. I really don’t know.

Reporter: So, what else can you say to try and tell Americans about your positions, about what you are doing and your feelings towards this whole thing?

Joran van der Sloot: I think it is sad. I really think it is absolutely sad. Sad, in a sense that I feel bad for Natalee’s parents, and sad in a sense about what people are doing and are treating this case, talking about cover ups and scandals. The other day, I saw something on the news that said that me and my dad had a credit line in the casino. People talk about things that make absolutely no sense. And it is really sad.

Reporter: Anything you want to ask? What about…

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t know, that is probably all speculations too. I heard stories that she was in Venezuela, sold into slavery or sex slavery. I don’t know. People are just trying to make up stories to find out what happened. And it is all sad.

Reporter: But, you are the last guy that was with her. I mean, there is….

Joran van der Sloot: I was the last guy who admitted to being with her, but ok.

Reporter: Ok, the last guy that was seen with her. I am going to put it to you that way. You guys were the last guys with her. If you guys had been a little bit more forthcoming… You are talking to me like you are kind of like a victim, in a way.

Joran van der Sloot: No, I am not a victim at all. I am not a victim at all. I said, I think it is sad, what the press is doing. But, I am not a victim at all. I know what I did was wrong, and for lying, I probably deserve to be in that jail for three months. But, I did not do anything against the law and they have to let you go. They have to let me get on with my life. And, I hope you guys let me get on with my life too.

Reporter: Well, I think if you can explain to people what really happened, and you were really forthcoming, the more forthcoming you are, the more chance there will be for you to get on with your life.

Joran van der Sloot: One day, I will explain exactly what happened, but, right now, I don’t feel ready to do that.

Reporter: Right. (phone rings) can you just explain to me any other thoughts? What about her… what was she like with you that night in a romantic way, I mean, how can you describe what she was like as a girl?

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t really know what to say, she was very nice. She was kind, and I feel horrible, because she asked me to stay with her there and look at the stars, and I told her, I had to go to school, I had to go home, and I feel horrible about that.

Reporter: So, what happened? You guys just got into the car and left then?

Joran van der Sloot: I just went home, yes.

Reporter: You left. And then, a girl was just standing there on the beach. I mean, what is the deal?

Joran van der Sloot: Yeah, basically.

Reporter: How drunk was she?

Joran van der Sloot: She had a lot to drink. At Carlos and Charlies, she grabbed my hand for me to take jelly shots off of her. And afterwards, she asked me to buy a shot for her, buy her something to drink, which I did. And, that is all I saw that she drank. I didn’t see her drink anything else. But from the day…earlier, when I was with her friends at the Excelsior Casino at the Holiday Inn, the whole group was already drinking from five in the afternoon. And I didn’t really see her at that moment. I didn’t really notice her at that moment. But, I guess they came here to have a good time and to celebrate. And to throw their graduation also. And they might have all gone a little too far.

Reporter: What do you mean jelly shots with her. Off of her body?

Joran van der Sloot: Yeah.

Reporter: How does that work?

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t know. I never did it myself before. She grabbed my hand and took me with her and asked me if I wanted to take jelly shots off of her.

Reporter: How does it work?

Joran van der Sloot: And she climbed on the bar. She laid down on the bar and she called over the bartender by name and he got a jelly shot for her and I took a jelly shot off of her.

Reporter: I don’t understand. Is it on her belly?

Joran van der Sloot: On her belly, yes.

Reporter: On her belly button?

Joran van der Sloot: Yes.

Reporter: And then, what do you do?

Joran van der Sloot: And then, you basically lick it off.

Reporter: How attractive did you think she was?

Joran van der Sloot: I thought that she was attractive.

Reporter: What kind of feelings did you have for her?

Joran van der Sloot: I didn’t have any feelings for her, because I did not know her at all. I just…the feelings that I had for her were because she was attractive.

Reporter: So you were hot for her?

Joran van der Sloot: I wouldn’t say that. I just thought she was attractive. I thought she was very outgoing, and that she came to me. She was the one that talked to me. She asked for me to dance with her, which I didn't even do. And she wanted to come with us. And, it was probably a bad choice. We probably should have told her she had to get out of the car when her friend told her she had to get out of the car and then nothing would've happened.

Reporter: What about the two brothers. Are they friends of yours?

Joran van der Sloot: Deepak and Satish, they were probably two of my best friends. Right now, at this moment, I am not even talking to them anymore. We are not friends anymore, because all of this happened. And...

Reporter: Why is that?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, because, obviously, all of us lied. We agreed to lie. I was the first one that changed my story. I don’t think they liked that, so they changed their story. And it, eventually everything went towards the truth. But, obviously, bad things were said about each other. And, it just hurts me that our friendship had to break up because of that.

Reporter: Are you covering for them?

Joran van der Sloot: I am not covering for them at all. And, I would not cover for them in such a big case with so many people got involved. My dad got arrested, which is absolutely ridiculous. I feel horrible, too, for Steve in Aruba, the DJ from Tattoo, because all he was trying to do was really help Deepak, like, providing us an alibi. I feel bad for him that he got arrested. I also think that it is ridiculous that my best friend, Freddy Sudam (sp?) got arrested. I think it is for taking a picture of a girl in a bikini. It is really sad.

Reporter: Do you have any other thoughts in terms of what Americans…again, people still think you are hiding a lot. I mean, even right now, I am asking you to tell me what happened and you are not really…

Joran van der Sloot: People can think all they want. That really does not bother me. I am just happy that there are people that do use their head and do believe in me.

Reporter: When you left her that night and what kind of expression did she have on her face?

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t know. I really don’t know what kind of expression she had on her face. I don’t even know what you mean with the question.

Reporter: What I mean is, you left her, right? Was she standing? Was she lying on the beach? What? When you left her?

Joran van der Sloot: When she came with me she was sitting at the beach.

Reporter: When you said you had to study. You had to go back go to school.

Joran van der Sloot: I had school the next day. And I did go to school the next day. And I did go to school the day after. And it's just I had to go home, I had to go to sleep. Yeah, when I got home, I went on the internet. I talked to Deepak for a while. So, the police could see exactly what time I got home. They can see it's obvious, if someone were to read the thing, it is almost impossible that a crime was committed.

Reporter: But, when you left her on the beach, she was sitting on the sand?

Joran van der Sloot: Yeah

Reporter: Which way was she facing? Was she facing towards the ocean?

Joran van der Sloot: She was facing towards the ocean. And before that, I had been laying with her at the beach. And she was facing towards the ocean when I left her.

Reporter: You were laying on the beach like how? Cuddling on the beach?

Joran van der Sloot: Yeah, cuddling.

Reporter: And then what happened? You said I have got to go home, because I have to get up for class tomorrow?

Joran van der Sloot: Uh... I told her I had to go home. I had school the next day, and I thought, maybe she'd understand. She told me, "No,." she wanted me to stay there with her. Because, the next day she was leaving. She wanted to stay there the whole night. I told her, "No," I had to go. I even lifted her up to carry her back to her hotel. And she told me, put her down.I left her there. I sat down and I started talking to her for a while. And I called Deepak, to ask him if he could come and pick me up, which Deepak didn’t do. but…

Reporter: was she angry?

Joran van der Sloot: She wasn't ... she wasn't angry. If anything she was probably more.. I don't know... upset that I was leaving her there. And, I don't know what reaction she had. I don't know

Reporter: How did you feel when you left her?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, at the time, I didn’t... I didn't feel it was a bad idea. At the time, I really didn’t. It didn’t seem wrong. It didn't seem... Of course, now I look back at it and I think, "Damn, I was... I'm an asshole. What did I do?" But, there is nothing I can do now. If I could have the moment back, I would make sure that she got back to her hotel safely. But, I can't change that now.

Reporter: Ok. What is the worst thing you think you have done since this all started?

Joran van der Sloot: The worst thing I did was leaving her there at the beach. That is the worst thing, possible thing, I could've done and then lie about it to try and make myself not look bad I guess.

Reporter: And why did you do that?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, I didn’t really think something bad happened to her and I don’t think
anyone in Aruba did. It is the truth. Tourists come to Aruba to have a good time and sometimes they don’t show up for a night or two and then they come back to their hotel. I thought that was the case. The local police thought that probably also thought that was the case. And, I just always hoped that she would just show up. And that is, yeah.

Reporter: What went through your mind when she didn’t show up?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, when she didn’t show up for the first couple of days, I was like, "Ok, but, you know, maybe, she's still with someone else." Then, after a while, cause there was 7 days, in between, when we gave our first witness statement and we were arrested, and I was just thinking I thought about going to the police and telling them the truth. But, I really couldn't, because I'd lied to everybody. I lied to my parents, I lied to my friends and (shrugs).

Reporter: So, you are saying that lying was your worst crime?

Joran van der Sloot: Yeah.

Reporter: Now, lying is a crime isn’t it? When you interfere with a police investigation?

Joran van der Sloot: Lying.. I don’t think lying is a crime. Lying is probably not ethical, but it is not a crime.

Reporter: If you interfere with a police investigation?

Joran van der Sloot: If you interfere with a police investigation it is still not a crime.

Reporter: Maybe here in Holland? You are saying you admit that you are a liar that night. You admit that you lied and and I think…. some people say that, I mean, you are admitting that you are lying, but you are doing a lot more than that. you have done worse things than that.

Joran van der Sloot: And, I would like for someone to come up and tell me if there is anything worse I did, because, I have never touched a girl in an aggressive way in my life. Never, and there is no one that can come forward and say otherwise. And yeah, I just feel bad for everything that happened. I feel bad for Natalee’s family. I feel bad for my family. I feel bad for Deepak and Satish’s family. And I feel bad for everyone that has suffered because of all of this.

Reporter: Since you are coming forward now to some degree, did you have sex with her that night?

Joran van der Sloot: First of all, that is none of your business.

Reporter: It is just a question.

Joran van der Sloot: But, it is absolutely none of your business.

Reporter: Did anything else happened that night?

Joran van der Sloot: No. Well, yes, I kissed with her. but., neither did Deepak or Satish ever had sex with her and no one ever said otherwise. I saw a tape from Deepak on TV saying something, which makes absolutely no sense. I think that tape was edited. I think people cut and pasted these pieces. I am sure about that, cause it didn’t even sound like Deepak’s voice. But, not me, not Deepak or Satish had sex with her and that is in all the documents. And none of us had ever said anything like that. and yeah I just think it is sad how Natalee’s mom comes forward and starts saying things against us that don’t make sense and are not true.

Reporter: I mean you seem to be fairly concerned about this, but I am just wondering the emotions. What people’s impression is going to be of you, in terms of….

Joran van der Sloot: Well, that is what I think it maybe one of the good points about me; I really don’t care what people think about me.

Reporter: But, you don’t want to give people the impression that you are calloused.

Joran van der Sloot: I don’t want to give the impression that I am…

Reporter: You are not a father.

Joran van der Sloot: I know, and I understand that, for her father. And I understand from my father and I just feel bad because of everything that happened. And, I don’t want people to think that I am a person without feelings, person without anything, because I did suffer a lot because of this. I cried, I don’t know how many times in my cell. I just felt horrible, but I want to go on with my life and there is nothing I can do about it now.

Reporter: And what was it like in your cell?

Joran van der Sloot: In my cell it was, I was with two other people in my cell. The people were very nice. The guards were very nice. And I was treated well there.

Reporter: And what kind of things did you do in the cell?

Joran van der Sloot: We didn’t do much. I read a lot of books. I studied for school. There is a lot of things. We played soccer there. Yeah. I tried to keep myself busy and not think too much. But, of course, they interrogated me sometimes morning to night. And it just... yeah.

Reporter: What were the interrogations like?

Joran van der Sloot: The interrogation, of course, were horrible, because they put stuff in your head. I think if you have a weak person in the interrogation room, I think, even if they are innocent, I think they will admit to doing a crime just to be let alone. Just to leave them alone. Just to get something to eat. To get something to drink. The Aruban interrogators might have been a little kinder than the Dutch interrogators. Because, they really try to make you look guilty, even if you are not guilty or not.

Reporter: Can you describe a little bit what it is like in an interrogation room?

Joran van der Sloot: You basically sit in a room in a chair with two cameras pointing on you. Since the last month, I did not talk to the interrogators, I just sat there and looked at them and they basically just kept asking me questions, making up stories referring to other documents.

Reporter: And how long did this go on for?

Joran van der Sloot: What do you mean?

Reporter: The interrogation?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, in the beginning, the interrogation could've gone from 8 in the morning to 11 at night. But, at the end, they slowly became, less and less, because they did not have more things to ask. And, I don’t think there is anything else to ask here. I haven’t been interrogated yet here in Holland. No one has come to investigate me and I know it is because there is nothing else to ask. Every question I have answered.

Reporter: Are you still a suspect?

Joran van der Sloot: Yes, I am still as suspect. It is just that my detention even got prolonged with 30 days. It is just there is not evidence to hold me any longer in a jail cell and it makes no use since I can continue my study and they can just here in Holland they can interrogate me whenever they want. There was an appeal by actually the attorney general there to try and hold me back and the higher court, which is three judges from Curacao, they even decided that I can travel anywhere in the world that I want. I can do anything I want. But, I remain a suspect, and in 30 days my lawyers will have to go to court in Aruba and see what happens again.

Reporter: So, you are still a suspect?

Joran van der Sloot: Yes, I am still as suspect.

Reporter: How does it feel to be a suspect?

Joran van der Sloot: It does not feel good, of course, and I hope that when the 30 days passes, I am not a suspect anymore, but I am here. I feel a lot more free, I can just study and work on my school. Soon, I am going to go tonight to be at my house. I have to learn to be alone. And, I think it is very important for me to think about my study and make sure that I do good in school.

Reporter: You seem like a composed young man, but the issue I am going to ask you this again, you seem a bit cold. You seem like you don’t have much emotion when it comes to her. Are you being reserved and not showing it, or do you really not feel that much about…

Joran van der Sloot: Well, of course, I am trying to be reserved, but and, of course, I feel. I would never called myself cold ,but it's just I do feel a lot for her. I just try not to think about it as much as I can. I try to just go on with my life.

Reporter: If you felt a lot for her, wouldn’t you be more forthcoming with her mother?

Joran van der Sloot: Well, I didn’t know her that long. And, I didn’t like how her mother treated my family, treated my dad and treated other Aruban people. I don’t respect that at all. I do think that in terms of suffering, that the suffering that you experienced in jail and all of that could not even remotely come close to anything the mother would be experiencing in terms of missing a daughter. No, I mean I can’t say I understand for her, cause I can’t, cause I don’t have a daughter and my daughter is not missing. But, I do know, she must be going through a lot of pain. But, again it does not make sense to make other people suffer, because she is suffering and that is what I feel like she is doing, but that is about enough. If you guys want to talk we can talk a different time.

Reporter: Do you have a nickname for her at all?

Joran van der Sloot: No.

One of the suspects in the Natalee Holloway case has changed his story.

Deepak Kalpoe told a polygraph expert that he and his brother and Joran van Dersloot had sex with the Mountain Brook teen.

According to the new police chief in Aruba, if the tapes are accurate, this is the first time Deepak Kalpoe has admitted to having sex with Natalee Holloway. The change in Deepak Kalpoe's statement could have a profound effect on the case.

They always denied having sex with this young girl," said Deputy Chief Gerald Dompig. "And so, in looking at the tapes, to watch if this is really what this gentleman has said, then it is totally contrary to what he has declared at our police station."

Dompig said the new version of the story could land Kalpoe back behind bars.

"I assure you that, once this is verified, and if it's legitimate, the case will turn around fully," Dompig said. "And it will be for us absolutely enough new information to talk once more to this young man, or, as a matter of fact, with maybe to all three."

Natalee's mother, Beth Twitty, said that she is guardedly encouraged, but she questions the integrity of previous statements made to police.

She said van Dersloot told police early on in the investigation that Natalee went in and out of consciousness while he had sex with her.

According to Dompig, van Dersloot never made that statement to them.

Twitty said she and Natalee's father, Dave Holloway, are going back to Aruba next week. Water searches will be conducted and the Texas-based Equisearch will head back to the island to help search for Natalee, who has been missing since Memorial Day weekend.

Update: Under the category "you can't plan in this business," I had expected to take Friday night off, but now I will be working. We have lots to report and it makes sense for me to come in off vacation since I have been steeped in the Natalee Holloway (search) story since the beginning. Here is what happened this morning:

Early this morning I got a tip: The Kalpoe brothers (search) have been re-arrested and another suspect was also under arrest. The arrest was at 6 a.m. Because rumors run wild in Aruba on this case, we wanted to get another source. We did not dare report it until we were absolutely certain.

Calls went out quickly everywhere for confirmation and our producer in Aruba (George Szucs) got busy... very, very, very busy. Armed with his cell phone, his video camera and the car, he took off to chase down the story.

We also solicited the help of investigative reporter, Tito Lacle. With "all hands on deck," our people were able to get the arrest confirmed. In fact, in short order, we had two confirmations of our original tip.

I was also told by my producer in Aruba that there would be an 11 a.m. court hearing. A very short time later, he was at the courthouse — way ahead of everyone (including the parties to this investigation.) I called him on his cell several times and at one time said, "What's going on?" He said, "I am the only one here."

A short time later — and well before 11 a.m. — he called and told me that the Kalpoe brothers' mother had arrived. Since the producer and I have met many times with her, she was easily recognizable to him. He attempted to talk to her but she did not want to talk. This is understandable.

Needless to say, all morning long, we have all been pounding the phones. We are learning much about the other person arrested — Freddy — and will give you those details at 10 p.m. tonight.
What has caught my attention most is the timeline we have pieced together. From Satish's lawyer the other night on the show, we learned that someone was on the Internet at the Kalpoe residence from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. Why did that person get off the Internet at 3 a.m.? Note that 3 a.m. is the exact time that Joran van der Sloot's (search) second call went to Deepak's cell phone (the first was 2:40 a.m.)

Searching for Answers

What does it take? On Tuesday night we did a segment on a stolen $7 million large private jet. The jet was stolen from a Florida airport and taken to a Georgia airport, landed, and abandoned. No one — except those involved — saw the take off or the landing. At best, the authorities only know a jet was stolen and flown. They have no idea who did it or what cargo, if any, was transported.

What I don't understand is how does this happened post 9/11? With all our attention on security at airports and with airplanes, how did this happen? What didn't we learn? This should be a wake up call about security flaws since we know airplanes can be used as bombs.

I am having a hard time thinking what Beth Holloway Twitty (search) can do that she has not already done. Any ideas? At this point she accepts her daughter's death (although I imagine a small part of her still has some hope until she has absolute proof.) She wants to know what happened, why it happened and of course would like to see justice. In the many days I spent with her in Aruba, we often spoke about how every other parents' nightmare was a dream for her. Most — if not all — parents would be heartbroken to find a daughter in a prostitution ring and addicted to crack. But at this point, Beth would be thrilled to find Natalee in that situation. It would mean her child were alive. She would love the chance to "fix" her child. Instead she finds herself in the position of seeking justice for her child and the chances of justice seem slim at this point.

but yet, Dan Riehl is over at his site saying that Joran only changed his story once and that it is Beth making up all the whole "different stories" story, but the Deputy Chief of police says it would take over 2 days to go over all of the inconsistent stories from Joran, proving Dan Riehl is the one lying.

It will be great to get the official transcript from MSNBC about today's interview between Dan Abrams and Dompig and Beth, Dompig said some important stuff.

Why do you really pick sides in situations or cases like this? When the main point should be to worry about the missing girl and be looking for her why does everyone pick sides. Of course I have my opinions on the case, but this paper guidelines say that I have to stay neutral while writing so I am going to let you guys tell me. In the early days of the investigation, some videos were posted on June 11th to an Aruban websites, aru-bay.com, that showed people searching an area near the lighthouse. It was presumed that they were searching for Natalee Holloway. Shortly after they were posted online at this site, they were removed. The reason for the removal was that the videos were posted to help prove the security guards initially arrested were innocent, and then removed when the guards were released.

The videos are from a handheld camera and and show the police searching near some large rocks, and during the search they put up a tarp and then mark the rocks. The timing of the videos was the day after the Aruban and Dutch authorities mistakenly announced Natalee was dead, and were going to retrieve the body. That is why the folks followed them and recorded it.

Although these videos are inconclusive, they are interesting and present some unanswered questions.

As Jim and I left LAX on September 2nd, the air of mystery was evident. Before even making it off U.S. soil, we were "passed off" to several parties intent on keeping a watchful eye on us. To the untrained this would have gone unnoticed but in our line of work the direct approach in Los Angeles and the quizzing by a stranger on the flight from Miami were obvious. So what began as a pleasure trip for us, turned into a very unusual "working vacation". Even after landing in Aruba, our surveillance continued. It was at this point we attempted to shake the guy tailing us--and we were actually successful for a short while! After checking into the Marriott, Jim and I decided to take a short walk around the area and it was then we observed the infamous Tattoo (of Steve Croes fame) pulling into the dock. We immediately pointed the boat out to a man on a neighboring ship who, although he was looking straight at the Tattoo, he disputed it being the same boat! As we began to walk away I looked up and once again, there he was…our tail. From his position, it was obvious he thought we were guests at the Holiday Inn (not the Marriott) so we purposely walked away in the direction of the Holiday Inn. An Aruban informant told Jim and Leslie that he knew where Natalee was taken. He was certain. He said to "get on the main road heading to Oranjestad. When you see the Wendy's by The Wyndham, it is on "that" street. The street Wendy's is on is about one to one and a half kilometers on the right hand side. You can't miss it.

He also stated:
That everyone on the island knows about that place but no one talks about it.
Weird stuff happens there.
Freddy takes his pictures there.
That is where the guys take women to have sex.
That is where the really Bad Guys are. (Scarface possibly secures the place)
No one goes near that place.
He (the guide) was not going to take us there. (No Way!)

I was thinking since Natalee's birthday was coming up(October 21st) we all could write into Michael Buble who wrote the song "Home" which I have on my Natalee website, and see if he could some how make it into a cd single dedicated to her. I think if a lot of us wrote into him he might actually do it. This song really reminds me of Natalee everytime I hear it so I really think he might consider. The mother of a missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway said Tuesday that a Dutch youth was lying when he denied that he and two other men had sex with the teen before she disappeared during a trip to Aruba.

Beth Holloway Twitty, in response to statements from Joran van der Sloot in an interview with the magazine show "A Current Affair," said on Tuesday that van der Sloot has admitted sexually assaulting her missing daughter.

Holloway Twitty, appearing Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning America" and CBS's "The Early Show," said van der Sloot and the brothers Satish and Deepak Kalpoe told Aruban authorities they had sex with her daughter after leaving a bar on the night of May 30.

Van der Sloot, 18, has acknowledged spending the evening with Holloway before her disappearance, but denies any wrongdoing.

In the interview, which aired Monday, van der Sloot says, "I kissed with her but neither did Deepak or Satish ever have sex with her and no one ever said otherwise."

"He admitted this to the interrogators .... He admitted this in front of 10 witnesses in the early morning hours of May 31st of the sexual assault that he committed against Natalee. So, yes, that is a fact," Holloway Twitty told CBS' "The Early Show," according to CNN.

"When her parents showed up at my door with her picture, I didn't even know who Natalee Holloway was," Van der Sloot told Current Affair, "I didn't even know her name."

To that, Twitty told Storm, "There have been so many lies that have come out of Joran van der Sloot's mouth that it's so -- sometimes I think the only facts we have are all of his lies. It's just incredible that he is going to make a statement like that, that he does -- did not even know her name."

In the interview, van der Sloot says he and the others got together and lied initially to police and to everybody about what happened that night, saying they brought Holloway back to her hotel. Then he says he left her at the beach, but that it was at her request. He says, "I even lifted her up to carry her back to the hotel, and she told me to put her down." He says the only mistake he made was leaving her at the beach.

"The 'only' mistake he made," Twitty said. "You know, I am not even sure if we've gotten to the last disclosed location where Joran last left and saw Natalee."

Holloway, an 18-year-old honors student, had graduated from high school in Mountain Brook, Alabama, and was participating in a class trip to Aruba. She was last seen leaving a bar with the three youths.

Van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers had been held as suspects in the disappearance. But no charges were filed against any of the three, who were finally released after an investigation into a possible sexual assault and murder yeilded no evidence of wrongdoing.

"I don't respect that the Aruban authority tried to pin that it was a rape case," van der Sloot told the television show, according to published reports. He went on to say that both he and Holloway had been drinking when they left the bar. "She wanted to go with me. I wanted to go with her. It was totally consensual."

"It almost sounds like to me that she is drugged. And in his statements, also, he's saying that she's coming in and out of consciousness. That just doesn't sound like just drunk. It sounds like to me it's a possibility she could have been drugged, also," Holloway Twitty said.

There have been a slew of false leads and rumors swirling around this case since it began. The Holloway family has had to endure rumors from one end of the spectrum to the next.

One report out of Aruba in August had a newspaper printing what it claimed to be a signed police interview in which Joran van der Sloot told interrogators that Deepak Kalpoe raped, killed and buried Natalee Holloway.

Another has all three of boys admitted to having sex with her as she "slipped in and out of consciousness." This is one of the issues that have Beth Holloway-Twitty enraged. "If that doesn't constitute gang rape.." Holloway-Twitty reportedly said.

On a recent segment of the Dr. Phil show - Deepak Kalpoe can be heard on tape admitting that he, along with Joran and Satish, had sex with Natalee. He even went so far to state "how easy it was". He went on to say "To tell you quite frankly, she dressed like a slut, talked like one."

"Let me ask you this," Jamie Skeeters, a polygraph expert, hired by the "Dr. Phil" show can be heard on the tape saying to to Deepak Kalpoe. "I hear you can pay a bartender to slip a date rape drug in her drink."

"I've never drugged someone," Deepak Kalpoe said.

"Have you heard that happen?" Skeeters asked.

"I haven't heard the bartender story," Deepak Kalpoe said. "I have heard the drug ecstasy. I've heard they slip that into drinks."

But Deepak Kalpoe offered no clues as to where to find Holloway.

"If I knew were the body is, I would tell them a long time ago," Deepak Kalpoe said. "Let them start the trial and get this over with. I don't care."

Joran Van der Sloot, 18, is currently attending college in Holland. Holloway's mother said she plans to go to Holland "to make sure that everyone realizes and still knows that the reward money is still out there. We have $1 million for a safe return, $250,000 for the whereabouts of Natalee. And we've had posters printed in Dutch that we will be distributing in Amsterdam."

Editorial:
During the last two airings of Nancy Grace on Headline News, Beth and Jug Twitty revealed some details that I was not aware of, in relation to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba. Additionally, I was also able to watch an interview with Joran in Holland, in which he throws all the blame of what happened on Natalee.

As the great liar that he is, he wanted to escape blame by accusing the missing girl of all sorts of weaknesses and flaws and paints himself as a gallant movie star. Joran, according from what I could conclude from the interview, did not break (…), and did not do anything, he tried rejecting Natalee’s advances, left her on the beach, and went home. Abandoning her on the beach was, for Joran, very normal!

From a habitual liar, I didn’t expect anything else. Together with his last statement and every other statement he made, which severely contradict each other, I don’t know.

What I do know is that he hasn’t spoken one word of truth during his interview with A Current Affair. All of a sudden, he forgets his own declaration that he left Natalee at the Holiday Inn, where she tripped and then was helped by two security guards; in his other declaration where he goes with Natalee on the beach North of the Marriott, and went to sleep with her on the sand.

Now, Natalee fell asleep, he left and thought that Deepak returned near where Natalee was, raped and killed her. All the statements he made earlier, he forgot in his voluntary amnesia. Now that he is in Holland, he became a saint!

In the shows of Nancy Grace yesterday and the day before, Beth and Jug made revelations which demonstrate uncategorically that the three suspects committed sexual assault against Natalee. This is also confirmed by their own admissions during the interrogations which took place in June. How then can Joran describe Natalee’s underwear in detail, and also her most intimate parts?

With his statement in Holland, Joran has reopened the wound. People can understand if he spoke the truth, but he preferred to continue with his many lies.

At DIARIO, we always thought that Joran, Deepak and Satish never went with Natalee from Carlos and Charlies to the beach North of the Marriott, but that they went to Joran’s apartment, where the above-mentioned took place. That they went to the beach to get rid of her after is possible and even probable.

One fact that hasn’t been completely explored in the first group of fishermen, in the same early morning hours that Natalee disappeared, one or more people broken the doors 1, 2, and 3 of the fishermens’ huts and kept what was in them.The watchman of the first crew of fishermen observed that the only things missing was a large knife and a large basket. For what do you need a large knife and a basket? They could have used the knife to open the basket to put Natalee’s body, along with some rocks, then go throw it in the sea, far off the coast with a collaborator?

This is a theory which gained more strength when a detector made by an American in Aruba detected human bones, teeth and and iron in the sea! Coincidence? Maybe, but it’s worth investigating the matter more in depth.

Natalee’s case will not disappear. Now that Joran opened his mouth in Holland, he made it again a current event. The irony of all this is that Arubians don’t have anything to do with the case.

The principal suspects is Dutch, the lead investigator was Dutch, the prosecutor is Dutch and the five judges involved are Dutch. If you think about it, an attempted boycott against Aruba is unjust, because it is misdirected and won’t achieve the desired results.

In a democracy, the executive branch cannot intervene in the judicial one. No matter how much pressure is put upon the government, it cannot give any sort of order to the prosecutor nor the judges. On the contrary, ‘trias politica’ can’t workI have full understanding of the suffering of Natalee’s mom and the uncertainty of the rest of the family. All the want is the truth, to find their child, no matter what condition she may be in, to then put the matter behind and return to their home to resume their lives.

Try putting yourself in her place, that you have a child who has disappeared in the hands of three suspicious individuals, the principal one set free because he wants to continue his studies.

Because of that America is questioning so severely the handing down of justice in Aruba, because things have happened which make no sense, have no justification and can’t be explained legally nor rationally.

I know this is older information, but I had some people tell me that they never got to see it so I wanted to post it.

The image below is obviously of Joran Van der Sloot in his favorite light plaid shirt. The image is stamped at 12:30 AM on the night of Natalee's disappearance and was taken inside of Carlos and Charlies. A second image, possibly of Natalee Holloway is much more difficult to make out. Along with the tourist suggesting the blonde girl in sun glasses standing by the door was Natalee Holloway, there's an additional factor which leads me to believe that may be the case.

Natalee was:
Last seen wearing: ... a denim knee length skirt, a teal green halter top and brown flip-flops.

That is the outfit she has on in the AP/Beth Twitty credited picture below. Below is the caption:

When you enlarge the picture taken at 12:23 AM of a young woman standing in the doorway, it becomes clear by examining the palette that the top is of a green color matching the top Natalee Holloway is said to have been wearing that evening.

In his recap, the tourist describes her as "The tall blond girl standing at the doorway in the background/she has sunglasses on."

UPDATE: I didn't even see it, a commenter has pointed it out - but that is indeed likely to be Natalee Holloway leaning down from up on the bar. I initially thought the one girl had her arm in the air, closer inspection shows that to not be the case.

Dave Holloway Rejects The Demand For Boycott Against Aruba

Father of missing teen Natalee Holloway came to Aruba to show support for local police.

While Beth Twitty is calling for a boycott against Aruba, and now even has the support of TV psychologist Dr. Phil, father of the missing American teen Natalee Holloway, namely Dave Holloway is on Aruba to show support for the local authorities

“I am here to here to meet with the Prosecution to see if they are still on track, and to assure the police corps I am still with them, that I am still supportive of them and of the people of the island,” Holloway stated. “Because, it is only with the help of Aruba that we can eventually solve this case.”

Dave Holloway distanced himself right away from the Dr. Phil show, during which the mother of Natalee Holloway, Beth Twitty, spoke about so-called confessions and that despite these confessions, the courts in Aruba still allowed the three suspects to go free. To her, and to Dr. Phil this is proof of corruption and cover-up.

Holloway emphasized the opinion of Dr. Phil does not reflect his thoughts on the case, and every American watching the program should draw his or her own conclusion. The call for boycott was “an independent decision of Beth and Dr. Phil. I can speak for myself. I have family and friends who have regular jobs and I don’t see why a 100 thousand people should be penalized for the actions of possibly three or more individuals who are not even from this island.”

The father of the missing Alabama teen never used the expression of corruption in this whole ordeal. He believes the police here was on the wrong track in the beginning, but after the first few days they got back on track. “But obviously, you get behind. It has been three and a half months and Natalee has still not been found. But I am a very patient man. The investigation will continue, and I wanted to tell the police I am still with them. They are totally committed to this case. They had some set back. But you know, they just have to work harder.” Dave Holloway reminded everyone, that there were cases that took much longer to be solved.

As for the proofs according to Beth he stated, “I have seen the Dr. Phil show, we all watched the Dr. Phil show. I don’t want to get into that. I’m looking into what can we do to move the case forward. I have some information I wanted to share with the police department."

Dave Holloway also explained he will not share information with the media, since he gave his word to the Police authorities that no new development in the investigation will be leaked to the media. He also said that in the beginning, when Natalee first went missing, he tried his best to stay out of the limelight, and avoided the US media. However, at a certain point, he had to talk. And he will continue to talk to the press, only he will not divulge sensitive information.

The father of Natalee Holloway is grateful for all the help he received and is still receiving. For instance, Holloway is happy with the assistance of people who came to Aruba to help, from tourists who sacrificed their vacation to help search, to the numerous Arubans who voluntarily were helping out. He is also aware there were others who came to the island to ‘to get attention in order to sell their wares.”

The Natalee Holloway Fund

The Twitty family set up a Natalee Holloway Fund in Alabama, and at this time, Dave Holloway has no access to the money raised. “I am not sure about the reasons why. I will look into that. But I’ve been able to fund my trips down here with the help of my Church.”

Dave Holloway also made use of the opportunity to clear some misconceptions. For instance, he denies Natalee had a million dollar figure insurance policy, or that Natalee may have wanted to run away. She had simply too many plans for the summer, before entering University life.

However, he is not rejecting other possibilities of what may have happened with his daughter. The only sure thing is that she left Carlos’ and Charlie’s with the three suspects.

For instance, it was surprising for Dave Holloway to find out only now, that Natalee’s two step cousins were here with her during this ill fated trip. The police will remain in charge of the investigation, and there may be a number of theories what might have happened to her. “And that is why it is so important for anyone who has a tip, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to provide this to the police or on the website. Everyone will be protected.”

In the meantime, Dave Holloway will continue searching for his daughter, who before leaving for Aruba found time to send her dad a ‘thank you’ note for the $500 graduation gift she received from him. Money she immediately put on her bank account.

“I will continue searching, with the cooperation of the Aruba police. If I have to wait years, I will do so. Only God knows why we have to take this path. And even though we may not understand why, I am sure there is always a good reason for it.”

The Aruba Tourism Authority and the island community in general profoundly regret the unfounded claims of a conspiracy surrounding the timing of the release of the suspects and the tragic events of hurricane Katrina. No event was used to divert attention from the case. These claims have no basis in fact. The review of the suspect’s detention was planned by the judge for September 4th, 2005 and this date has been public knowledge since July, 2005.

The three suspects in the disappearance of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway were released from police custody in Aruba on September 3, 2005. The case is not closed, in fact, a thorough investigation is still underway on Aruba and the three are still considered suspects.

The investigation is being conducted according to the rule of law. The legal system of Aruba is identical to that of the Netherlands, which receives the highest marks from the U. S. Department of State. It differs from the US system and is as effective.

All judges are appointed by the Queen of the Kingdom of The Netherlands, not through elections or political appointments. These judges must follow a special and rigorous training of six (6) years, following a 4 year law study, to qualify for an appointment. All trials are conducted by a professional judge, not an elected jury. There’s no plea bargaining and no death penalty. The latter has been abolished since late 1800’s.

Unlike in the U.S. legal system, the prosecutor and/or the investigating officers are not under the obligation to disclose details of the investigation to third parties, including the media. The prosecutor’s office, in order to safeguard the integrity of the investigation, has limited authority to disclose details of the investigation to the suspects.

In the Kingdom of The Netherlands, there is a separation of powers, the Government, the Judicial System and Legislature and there is no interference amongst them.

The Royal Netherlands Marines, the Joint Dutch Aruban Investigation Team, the Netherlands Forensic Institute, the Coast Guard for the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba and Dutch legal experts assisted the local authorities in Aruba with the Holloway investigation, together with US authorities, including the Department of State and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Thousands of Aruban citizens have aided in the search for Natalee from the beginning, and the community-at-large have opened their hearts to the Holloway and Twitty families.

This tragedy has affected the island deeply as it comes as a complete shock to Aruba where crime is nearly non-existent. Aruba is one of the safest islands in the Caribbean and a favorite amongst travelers with a repeat visitor rate of 40%, the highest of any Caribbean destination.

The island of Aruba continues to extend its sincerest thoughts and most heartfelt prayers to Natalee Holloway’s family and friends

Thank you for taking the time to contact us out of concern for finding Natalee and in response to Dr. Phil regarding her disappearance.

Aruba has devoted enormous resources and people power to the search and location effort. Perhaps more than anyone else in this tragic story it is the people of Aruba who most want the Holloway family to have peace of mind and a resolution to this mystery.

From the moment of Natalee’s disappearance Aruba rallied around the Holloway family providing resources, manpower, support and prayers. And we marshaled the resources and efforts of thousands:Helicopters and ATVs were donated. The Dutch Marines came.The Aruba Red Cross mobilized. Aruba Search & Rescue worked tirelessly.The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) provided agent and expertise, since the beginning.Local volunteers worked tirelessly.

One of the most powerful displays of support was when the Aruban Government, and many private businesses, gave employees the afternoon off to aide in the search for Natalee. Arubans came out in large numbers combing the island in a show of support and sympathy for the family in the hope of uncovering something to bring us closer to an answer.

This is the first time any nation has mobilized so completely to find a single missing girl. Our entire country came together to help resolve this case.

So what is the result of this sincere and overwhelming effort on the part of the people of Aruba? We remain under relentless scrutiny and media exposure. Many here feel that the enormous media coverage has actually helped the perpetrators escape because so much information has been and continues to be given out with every detail revealed, speculated upon and put into the public domain. Any law enforcement official will confirm that investigations of this nature need to be managed effectively and quietly so as to catch those responsible, rather than give all the information the perpetrators need to escape detection, capture, and prosecution.

Even a boycott of our tiny island was suggested. But, such an action, if successful, would harm thousands of loyal caring Arubans who want justice and have been supportive of the Holloway-Twitty family from the start of this tragedy.

The investigation continues.

What is truly needed now is a period of silence so whatever chance is left for the investigation to succeed can be undertaken to capture and prosecute those responsible.

Natalee Holloway and her family have been taken into the hearts of the Aruban people. The island of Aruba continues to extend its sincerest thoughts and most heartfelt prayers for her safe return and the peace of mind and comfort of her family and friends.

Last night on Fox, The Big Story Fox Oct. 2, 2005 Beth Holloway Twitty discusses the fact that it is old news to her and the family that her daughter Natalee Holloway went to Joran Van der Sloot’s house the night of May 30.

Julie: One of the new things that Joran was telling Christina that the whole story he told investigators was not true. Apparently he took Natalee to his home, then to the HI, then to the beach where he supposedly had sex with her. This is new information, this is huge. What are investigators doing about this have you been in contact with them?

Beth: The sad part about this is a lot of this is not new. Police have known since the beginning that Joran took my daughter to his home. They have known that, they had statements as early as June 13th. There has been no secret about this.

However, Beth Twitty made the following new announcement that was rather eye opening:

Julie: When they went in there and swept through his home and the parents home and the apartment that is attached to his home. Did they find any evidence? I know we waited ten days before they actually got in there to hear any information. But, did the forensic evidence in any way connect to Natalee?

Beth: Julie, you are not going to believe this, but do you know that forensics were never done at the primary residence. Even though Joran gave a state to the police that he took my daughter to his home on May 30th at 1:40 am. Absolutely not, forensics were never done at the primary residence of the Van der Sloot home. That is why there is never any evidence.

This would seem a rather amazing thing seeing that according to the following account from the Boston Globe, “Police carried away the results of their search in several garbage bags and towed two cars”.

Investigators also emerged from the house carrying two white plastic garbage bags full of unidentified items. A German Shepherd also sniffed around the property outside the capital, Oranjestad. Authorities towed a blue sport utility vehicle and a red Jeep away from the house, which is surrounded by a low stone wall and fronted by an expanse of trees and cacti.

The comment by Beth Twitty is puzzling and troubling at the same time as she claims, “Absolutely not, forensics were never done at the primary residence of the VDS home.” We see in the following ABC story from Jun 15, 2005 that forensic specialists, dressed in a white suit, were searching the Van der Sloot home and property.

Wednesday’s search of the van der Sloot home lasted about four hours. Two white-uniformed investigators from Holland carried suitcases into the one-story, yellow-beige home, which includes an attached apartment where the young man lives. They later returned the suitcases to their white, unmarked car.

From what Beth Twitty revealed in last nights interview is that although forensic evidence was collected, none was ever examined or tested? Julie Banderas: There are new reports, shocking reports in a tabloid newspaper about JVDS who is in college in Holland. Apparently started dating a girl ten yrs his senior. Twenty eight years old, this girl named Christina. Telling reporters over there a lot of new information that apparently is new, what are Aruban police doing about this?

Beth: Exactly, why are national enquirer reporters over there obtaining this information, where are the investigators? Why are they not over there getting this information from Joran?

Julie: One of the new things that Joran was telling Christina that the whole story he told investigators was not true. Apparently he took Natalee to his home, then to the Holiday Inn, then to the beach where he supposedly had sex with her. This is new information, this is huge. What are investigators doing about this have you been in contact with them?

Beth: The sad part about this is a lot of this is not new. Police have known since the beginning that Joran took my daughter to his home. They have known that, they had statements as early as June 13th. There has been no secret about this.

Julie: When they went in there and swept through his home and the parents home and the apartment that is attached to his home. Did they find any evidence? I know we waited ten days before they actually got in there to hear any information. But, did the forensic evidence in any way connect to Natalee?

Beth: Julie, you are not going to believe this, but do you know that forensics were never done at the primary residence. Even though Joran gave a state to the police that he took my daughter to his home on May 30th at 1:40 am. Absolutely not, forensics were never done at the primary residence of the Van der Sloot home. That is why there is never any evidence.

There are many questions lately as to how old Joran van der Sloot is. From many of the sites I have seen, such as his MSN space and other dating sites he has ads on his age differs. At the time that the case started I read articles that said Joran was a 17-year-old boy. If this is true then there is a legal matter that needs to be dealt with!

Prosecutors in the Natalee Holloway case are investigating the chilling possibility that a renegade cop may have helped dispose of the 18-year-old honor student's body, The National Enquirer has learned.

And, as prime suspect Joran Van der Sloot enjoys freedom in Holland, it fuels fears that the case against him and two other suspects in Aruba has been successfully sabotaged. "There are powerful people on the island who don't want this case solved," said a close source.

And American investigator Arthur Wood, a retired U.S. Secret Service agent, said bitterly: "There's no doubt in my mind that the case has been sabotaged from within.

"Soon after Natalee went missing on May 30, one of the top detectives on the case told me he had a reliable lead that she was being held in a certain house — and asked me to do surveillance there. I was puzzled and I told him, 'Surely that's a job for the police.' He looked me in the eye and said, 'I can't trust my own officers.'" When Wood searched the house, he found nothing.

Joran, 18, and his pals Deepak and Satish Kalpoe were released from prison in early September — despite remaining under suspicion of rape and murder. Two days later Joran an was allowed to fly to Holland and enroll in college in Arnhem.

Meanwhile in Aruba, the possibility that a cop may have been involved in Natalee's disappearance has been a well-kept secret until now.

Wood, who's been on the island since June, said: "It began with a witness who was at the lighthouse area on the beach shortly before a big search for Natalee's body was about to start there. In the distance he saw a police car on the dunes with its trunk open. When the witness got closer, the man slammed down the trunk and took off.

"Some time later a woman came forward. She said she'd been told that a policeman helped to dig up Natalee's body from the sand at the lighthouse where it had been hidden.

"Everyone agrees that if the body was dumped at sea, as detectives believe, the killers must have had some cool-headed professional help. The cop could have provided that."

"I believe the cover-up began from the start. The police commissioner then in charge of the case was an old friend of Joran's father Paulus — and sources claim he was overheard agonizing over the case.'"

"Even Natalee's mother Beth Twitty found evidence of a cover-up. She gave a statement to police, which she was told had to be typed in Dutch before she signed it. Weeks later she had someone translate the document she had signed — and was shocked to find some things were totally different from what she'd told police.

"Significantly, details about her conversations with Joran and the Kalpoes had been changed — to the benefit of the boys."

Joran's flight to Holland has only deepened the grief of Natalee's mother, who turned detective to find much of the evidence that put Joran behind bars.

Said an insider: "When he was released, Beth cried all night. But she won't give up. She said 'I'm going to make sure Natalee's voice will never be silenced.' "

A couple new wrinkles come out from the National Enquirer story from last week. We find out that the girl, Kristina Pedersen, was an “enterprising young freelance photographer”. According to the interview, Joran Van der Sloot does not seem to have learned from the error of his ways as he still is “drinking, cutting classes, chasing girls and going to bars until 4am”. Not quite the conduct that someone who was in jail for four months would be doing. However, it was not like Deepak didn’t go back to Carlos & Charlie’s as well. David Wright of the National Enquirer reports this rather differing point that was allegedly told to Kristina Pedersen by Joran Van der Sloot.

He said after they left C & C, they didn’t go straight to the beach, they went to his home. The Kalpoe brothers waited outside and he and Natalee went inside for a while. Now, that raises an interesting question because his father was of course in the house. Now,did the father meet Natalee that night?

Natalee Holloway And Cable News: A Season Of Fraud

For all the talk of Rather-Gate and now the recent inaccurate reporting around Hurricane Katrina, the largest fraud ever perpetuated by the MSM is likely to go un-noticed and unchallenged. The cost may be millions of dollars and possibly even lives, but most elite media watchers and even bloggers won't care because of the topic involved - the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

For an entire summer all of the major cable news outlets passed off lies, unproven innuendo, false allegations, manufactured "evidence" and misrepresentations too numerous to even recall in the chase for ratings. I have researched the Natalee Holloway disappearance as much, if not more so than any other credible journalist and there is absolutely no excuse for what the Cable News outlets did.
It was unethical, misguided and flat out wrong. Had the subject matter been political or business-related, it is likely the result would have been Congressional hearings due to malfeasance through a betrayal of the public trust by the media. And it persists to this day, as one of the largest talk shows in America, Oprah Winfrey, recently called for a boycott of Aruba based upon a manufactured story.

Now, A Current Affair and all the Cable Networks are trying to milk the beast right on into the ground regardless of the unethical nature of their reporting. Finally, it is time to clear the air.

There is no other way to write and unravel this complex tale other than to walk through it step by step. That is what I intend to do and it will take some number of entries. To date, I have written approximately 450 stories on the disappearance, as well as having hosted over 500 chat forums. Another half dozen posts to set the record straight while bringing the story up to date isn't too much to ask.

I'll begin with Joran's "Lies" as that has been the subject of recent news. The fact is for all the hyperbole there has never been more than one and possibly two minor contextual lies. It's alleged that Joran lied to Natalee and perhaps others from Mountain Brook as to his identity as a student from Holland. Big deal. The fact is, even I can remember evenings down the shore with male friends when I was from 17 to 18 when we thought it was cool to present some phony name or identity when hitting on young women down the shore.

It's a laughable practice likely engaged in by many teenage boys looking to pick up girls and rises to the significance of a version of some old beach movie like, Where The Boys Are with Connie Francis. It isn't even worth addressing because there is no other pattern of deceit or lying to suggest it was anything sinister. Like it or not, it's 2005, fully 30 years since my days as a teenager and the practice went on then, just as it does today. Young boys somehow think they are accomplishing something by dressing up their personae somehow to pick up a girl, most likely for a short term or one night fling.

Now, I'll explain the one significant lie of Joran Van der Sloot in context and then discuss the actual illegal and unethical behavior with which the MSM was fully complicit as they sought to prop that portion of the story up through actions which can only be termed fraud.
In all probability, Joran Van Der Sloot left Natalee Holloway alone on the beach that night just as he has insisted for the better part of four months. The original lie as regards having dropped her off at the hotel came to be in the following, mostly innocent manner - innocent as regards any serious crime, anyway.

By the way, contrary to what many have been led to believe through bad reporting, after leaving Natalee at the beach Joran managed to get home, get some sleep and catch his school bus the next morning at approximately 6 AM and arrive at school on time and perform reasonably well on his exams. A far cry from what one might expect of some would be murderer.
Having completed his exams he went to the casino that evening with Deepak Kalpoe as there was a poker tournament going on he had been playing in. Also of note, Paulus did not attend casinos with his son regularly, as has been alleged, but basically attended once or possibly twice only to observe his son playing in the tournament. It was a fairly new activity for the boy and Paulus is said to have wanted to see what precisely was going on.
While at the casino Joran received a cell phone call from his Father that the authorities and the Twitty family were at the Van der Sloot home looking for a missing girl, the girl he had left alone on the beach - Natalee. If you recall early on when Steve Croes became involved he, at one point, mentioned over hearing a phone call: that is the phone call which Steve Croes over heard and subsequently became party to a conversation between Joran and Deepak on the matter.

In essence, Joran had left Natalee on the beach and Steven Croes, DJ extraordinaire and likely not too bright from all observations sought to play the wise counselor to the two younger boys. His advice was that whenever you score with an American girl, which Joran had not claimed, by the way, you always walk them all the way back to the hotel and into the lobby to avoid any future hassles or complaints.

Now, whether or not Americans like to believe it, some number of usually college age young American women having been weened on too much MTV, Real Life. The OC and any other number of mostly decadent teenage TV fare, do regularly vacation in Aruba, get to partying too much with someone, local or otherwise, and miss the plane for their trip home. It simply is not an unheard of happening on the island. And the boys all had assumed that is precisely what happened to Natalee at that time.
The ride to Joran's house gave Joran and Deepak the time needed to decide to go with the "we dropped her at the Hotel" story as they foolishly thought it was the best thing to say. As Joran hadn't done what Croes had suggested as the best thing, they simply re-created it, assuming Natalee would turn up in a day or so and the entire incident would be forgotten. Obviously, and unfortunately, it didn't turn out that way at all.

That is also why Steve Croes, in all his abject stupidity, walked into the police station in support of the story, interjecting himself into a criminal investigation and perhaps the largest media circus the world has likely ever known.

Eventually, as that lie was torn down through investigation, Joran reverted to the truth, that he had left Natalee at the beach and so far as I can ascertain, he has not changed that story one time. Which leads me to the most egregious conduct of the media, including Greta Van Sustern of Fox, a trained lawyer - and the rest of the ratings chasing media who decided to sacrifice truth for ratings and perpetuate a fraud on America the scope of which we likely have never seen before.

I have personally interviewed credible individuals who have known Joran Van Der Sloot for any number of years, including a stand out American college student originally from Aruba with no bias or axe to grind either way. What you find is an average seventeen year old boy, perhaps with the ego and an eye for girls just like any young accomplished high school athlete in America. If anything, his previous girl friends tend to characterize him as sweet as well as sensitive without an overly-aggressive bone in his body towards women he dates.

Keep in mind it was Geraldo Rivera who broke news of alleged pornographic video tapes featuring young girls made and sold by the boy. That was an out and out falsehood which should have never been reported and began the theme of Joran as evil perpetrator the media required to perpetuate its tremendous fraud on America.

I myself was brought on to Fox News and asked to characterize an image of Joran involved in horseplay with another boy including a leather belt. They inquired as to whether or not it reminded my of Abu Ghraib. Can journalism be anymore ridiculous considering the image was likely taken by Joran's Mother and involved harmless in home horseplay with another boy?
Yet, on and on it went, the media characterizing a young man of seventeen still not proved to have ever committed any crime, as the sinister perp they needed for their ratings driving coverage through out the course of an entire summer. Were it an American boy that was done to I have no doubt there would be law suits flying everywhere - as there should be. The level of irresponsibility to which the media coverage sunk cannot be over stated. It was vile, cruel and destruction, whatever its target, let alone a minor from a small island which couldn't hope to counter the disinformation being gleefully conveyed to the public by the American media.

Enter Jossy Mansur in the next installment and we'll see that even the claims being made right this minute on Fox News with Geraldo have no basis in fact and are only a part of the on going media fraud.

There are no statements from Joran to support any of the allegations being hurled at him from ace reporters like Geraldo, O'Reiily and Van Sustern - and anyone who knows the inside story knows that is completely accurate from a journalist's point of view. Even this week O'Reilly was talking about the Father of the boy Paulus as a Judge, which has never been true and is only intended to foster the notion of some grand cover up which never existed as it has been alleged. Apparently no one in the Cable News business cares a bit for truth and accuracy, their being willing to say anything and perpetuate any falsehood for the sake of a ratings driving story. Frankly, it's pathetic.
And no one cares because it's just another missing pretty white girl story to media watchdogs. But the principles being violated daily by our media in the Natalee Holloway coverage are the same ones they violated when they put forth fraudulent documents to skew a Presidential election and exaggerated stories of looting, rape and murder in New Orleans to smear an administration. If we don't pay attention to every poor performance of the many we have seen lately from a media which is in essence willing to lie to perpetuate ratings, we will never again have a MSM in this country we can trust in the slightest regard.
Ultimately, it is only because more established news outlets like ABC, NBC and CBS would not play ball with what was a rigged story from the start and chose to ignore the story altogether, that the cable news outlets have been allowed to get away with the most unethical farce in journalism we've seen in our lifetimes.

In future installments over the next week or two I will address the so-called statements of Joran Van der Sloot which never were, the witholding of pertinent and telling information by the MSM media to ensure their ratings stayed and continue to stay up as long as possible - in short, the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so far as it can be ascertained by any one journalist.

ORANJESTAD (AAN): The image Aruba is acquiring with some Americans is none too pretty. Now that Beth Twitty is suggesting that Americans not travel to Aruba or any other Dutch territories, on almost all channels, as well as on the popular Dr. Phil Show and soon on the hugely popular Oprah Winfrey Show, the situation is worsening.

There are millions of Americans following the case of the Alabama student who went missing in Aruba. The general opinion is that the government of Aruba hasn’t done anything to find Natalee, nor to maintain the three young suspects detained.

They think that in Aruba, corruption is the order of the day and that because Joran’s father has the title of judge, he could have easily caused his son to regain his freedom.Now what? It seems that many Americans will (take out their anger?) on any Aruban that goes to their country.

Evil Eye on Arubans

DIARIO received last week, various reports of Arubans visiting America, under the ‘evil eye’ they have gained from Americans. This has even happened to Arubans who have lived a long time in America.

A known local citizen has indicated that he telephoned the US to make a reservation in an American hotel. The female operator was speaking very nicely and was cheery until the time when she asked “where are you calling from”

When the citizen replied “From Aruba”, at once the tone of the conversation changed drastically.

Another case: There have been a few local merchants who have also reported that they have received really bad treatment when traveling abroad for conventions.When walking in the Convention Center with a badge on their shirt, with the word Aruba appearing in large. Americans see the name “Aruba” and they flee and at once (refuse?) to speak with the Aruban participants.

In the eyes of Americans, Aruba is condemned for freeing the youngsters, and for having no word as to what happened to Natalee Holloway.

Besides that, DIARIO has received information that an American cab drivers speak (rudely?) if they know you are from Aruba. This is what happened to some people who visited Las Vegas.

An Aruban was on a street corner when this happened, and the only thing he could do was keep his mouth shut and walk away.But not all Arubans will keep their mouths shut! DIARIO has learned that some got into a discussion and defended the island, as he should.

What else is happening to Arubans in America? DIARIO has received confirmation that an Aruban was in a department store looking for assistance from a salesperson, said (something?) and the sales person found out that the person was from Aruba. At this point, the saleslady did not want to continue assisting the Aruban customer.

The situation of Arubans residing in America is becoming tiring, they have found ‘harassment’ to the point where they’d rather not identify themselves as Arubans.

However, even if you don’t identify yourself as Aruban, you may be identified as such when going to complete a purchase at a cashier. A lady tells DIARIO that when she took out her credit card from Aruba Bank to pay for a purchase at Macy’s in Atlanta, the cashier saw the word ‘Aruba’ and she started to have a word with the client she was serving.

The ‘verbal attack’ are launched against the Arubians who travel to America, and now some local people are asking starting to answer “We are from Curaçao”, when asked where they’re from.

A local journalist also found a ‘negative lecture’ when he arrived to Miami and boarded a car rental bus and started conversing with the chauffeur. The chauffeur was Cuban and didn’t have a nice word for Aruba.

Is the boycott against Aruba working or not? Commerces in Aruba are complaining about a slowdown in the month of September in general. Some days you even didn’t see one tourist walking in the mall or Main Street (Caya Principal).Some hotels are half full, and cabdrivers are complaining about ‘off-season’.

Although local authorities keep saying that demand for travel to Aruba is high, one must take a logical look at this situation. DIARIO also received confirmation that in the beginning of September, there was one US – Aruba flight that only had a dozen tourists on board. They each took up 3-seat rows to lay down and sleep.

“The worst is yet to come”, a citizen explained to DIARIO. Aruba has demonstrated to the American people that the investigation of Natalee’s case (continues?)

In case this does not happen, some hotel workers will have to be laid off for lack of tourists. We hope that October will be better than this month.

ORANJESTAD(AAN) --- Related to a press release yesterday “Merryweather wants to challenge Natalee’s mom?”, Mr. John Merryweather reacted yesterday by indicating that the contents of much of that article was based on the misinterpretation of his thoughts and that he will contest it.

He starts by explaining that in the first place, it goes without saying that he prays for the Twitty and Holloway families. “At this time, we also pray for Aruba because it is due to the Twitty family, who has asked for a boycott of tourism to Aruba, against citizens who have nothing to do with what happened to Natalee, sadly she was last seen on her trip to Aruba.

He continues to explain that Aruba has a competent corps: justice system, laws, public ministry, and police corps, assisted by the FBI, assisted by specialists from Holland, supported by the government who gave half a day off to employees to help in the search and weeks and months have passed without a positive result.

At a certain point in time, Aruba began to be ridiculed by America in television channels, and activity started here (in Aruba) to defend our justice system which is being questioned by America.

They understand some of our laws but not others, and I heard mentioned once “plea bargaining” a bargaining of the innocence of an innocent Aruban citizen. I can’t support this.

One thing is for certain, the Dutch system that we share, defends innocent people, it is absolutely confirmed that if you are not proven guilty, you are innocent.

This is all the assurance we have if tomorrow any of us is detained for 10 days or 4 days, but not that a demand is made for a case to be brought against us.If nothing can be proven, no person can bargain with our innocence, says Mr. Merryweather who mentioned two things that bothered him about the article.Never has he defended Joran v.d. Sloot nor the Kalpoe brothers. “I don’t have to defend anything. They have lawyers who are experts in our island’s laws who are able to defend them and we have a public ministry. “Who am I to defend them? I think logically about the case and the information I have is that which I have gathered from the press, among others, DIARIO”

Resistance has started to grow and the call for a boycott of Aruba doesn’t only originate in Alabama, but started in the cable channels and I, like any other Aruban, am very worried.

At a certain point, our judicial system was been ridiculed so much and I supported a small demonstration in front of the court and will be the spokesperson of the group, without being asked, because I wanted to.After that, for one reason or another, the next day American channel 5 found me and two days later I refused an interview because it wasn’t my intention at all to seek publicity or to speak for the whole community.

“I don’t speak for the people, that is the truth. We are not an organization who has authority to speak on behalf of the people of Aruba. However, due to the reaction of hundreds of Aruban citizens who support and encourage us to continue the plight for our country, I don’t have any problem in doing so”, Mr. Merryweather wanted it to be known.

ORANJESTAD (AAN): The MSNBC show Rita Crosby Live which ran Wednesday spoke with a powerful lawyer and a Philadelphia philanthropist who are going to help to launch a national campaign in America in efforts to boycott Aruba.

Natalee Holloway’s mother, Beth Twitty, was in Philadelphia Wednesday to meet with a renowned philanthropist from that city, Joe Mammana. She also met with a lawyer because she doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned.

From here, Natalee’s family wants to explore any any option they have available to find their daughter. Now, with the help of a powerful lawyer, they will start that process.

The lawyers are Marty Trichon and Elliott Curson. One is a former prosecutor, who is a very ‘hard core’ person and will look at the case from all angles. He works in the style of reason first, and emotion later.

The other was involved in President Reagan’s election campaign in 1980. He is an expert in Public Relations. He will look to form a team to advise what to do in regards to Aruba.

What option are they looking for? Joe Mammana says that personally, he will go against Aruba in all possible forms. He found that people in Aruba haven’t been honest and haven’t been just. Personally, Joe wants to boycott Aruba and will start a national boycott of the island.

He wants for Joran van der Sloot to realize, that the time has come to to wipe that smile off his face and he plans to smack it off. They will not stop until the time that they know where Natalee Holloway is and until the time Beth Twitty can put her head on her pillow at night and sleep peacefully.

Beth Twitty reacted to what Joran declared to the “A Current Affair” crew recently. She believes that what Joran, Deepak and Satish did with Natalee is “gang rape”, which is a crime.

With a national boycott, they hope to pressure the authorities in Aruba and start to accuse the youngsters here of more crimes [?] Beth Twitty repeated, that she has asked for millions of people to support her to please not travel to Aruba nor any other Dutch territories until Natalee is returned to her. She is convinced that Aruba has the ability for this to happen!

Dave Holloway: “So maybe they took a different avenue. Who knows?”

Dave Holloway went On The Record with Greta Van Susteren to discuss his recent trip to Aruba and meeting with the prosecutor. What did it accomplish, where is the investigation and Dave’s thoughts about the investigation and Joran Van der Sloot’s recent ‘Current Affair’ interview. A couple of key points come out in this interview as to who is doing the investigating/searching and some new wrinkles into Dave’s thinking.

VAN SUSTEREN: Dave, I guess I should first ask you how you’re doing. It’s been a long time since May 30. I know you’ve been back and forth to Aruba and still no sign of your daughter.

HOLLOWAY: Well, it stays on your mind every day. You just can’t keep thinking about what happened and try to theorize what took place that night. But you know, things are getting better, and we’re getting back to, I guess, a normal life, so to speak. But it’s still tough and it stays on your mind constantly.

Dave Holloway then discusses the meeting with the Prosecutor and politely as Dave always does talks of the communication that is needed and that everyone is on the same page in the investigation. A point that sadly must continue to be made four months into an investigation that has been the root of much frustration.

HOLLOWAY: Well, we discussed communications. That was one of the big issues. There seemed to be — you know, everyone was not really on the right page, and I wanted to just meet with them and, you know, Here’s my information. Here’s some tips and some information I received from the Web site that — or the e-mail address that we had set up: Helpfindnatalee@comcast.net. And I gave them a lot of that information. And I really wanted to talk to the police investigator. Since I had not spoken with Eric Sommers, I wanted to meet with him, get his take on where the investigation is heading and also provide him with some of these leads.

The following are a list of key points from the interview that should be made:

1) Have the suspects told the truth at all as to where they went?

2) Who is actually doing the searching

3) Dave’s thoughts on Joran Van der Sloot’s interview

Dave’s following comments have been some of my thoughts for quite some time and expressed to Dave Holloway in conversations. Because the three suspects have lied and Joran had openly admitted that they ALL agreed to lie to the police, one wonders whether they have told the truth about anything that happened that last night with Natalee Holloway? Did they ever even go to the lighthouse or the beach?

HOLLOWAY: Hey, let’s stop and regroup and then start all over and start thinking like these kids were thinking.

And you know, they came to the bar — and this is not anything that the detectives mentioned. But you know, you stop and think. A group of guys, they get to the bar 30 minutes before it closes, they’re not ready to stop partying. So you know, when they leave, do they really go to the beach or do they really go to the lighthouse? Maybe, maybe not. So maybe they took a different avenue. Who knows?

We just need to start thinking outside the box in this investigation and pursuing every lead that’s possible. In fact, I spoke with our attorney today. She said that any lead or tip that comes in is going to be fully investigated.

HOLLOWAY: You know, we discussed that and brain stormed. You know, really, Greta, the only thing that we know for sure is they left Carlos and Charlie’s, and you know, that left or right turn, you know, it’s a bunch of lies from there on out. So you really — you really don’t have anything to stand on.

Dave Holloway tells us of the recent search efforts that have been done; however, it appears that the searches have either been organized by Dave and the family and from tips they have received. There does seem to be some searching going on from the Prosecutors office though as it was referenced that fireman were searching wells.

HOLLOWAY: They are conducting searches, Greta. In fact, we had a tip that came in while I was there on the island. I couldn’t stand it, so I had to go look myself. And the police showed up early the next morning, cleared away — I was not able to go into the well, but they had a fireman go into the well, check it and cleared that area. Since then, they’ve conducted a dive search up under a cave that went up to the lighthouse. They cleared it. And then today, they did another dive search in a yacht basin.

When Greta asks Dave Holloway his impressions of the Joran Van der Sloots Current Affair interview Dave’s reaction is as follows:

No, not really. It just confirms that, you know, he continues to tell the stories. And he’s telling it to the American people now, you know, another pack of lies, I guess, so to speak, so… Maybe he’s telling the truth on this? No.

Ever the patient optimist Dave Holloway keeps the pressure on the investigation to move forward in Aruba. Dave makes a valid point when he states that he does not want to jump to any conclusions or have the prosecution rush a case forward without evidence.

I didn’t want them to jump to conclusions, make a charge and then, you know, what’s happened every time, you know, the judge dismisses the case. And the worst thing that can happen would be to rush in there and file charges and then the judge dismiss it. And then where are you?

And so begins a travel article on Aruba in USA Today. The juxtaposition of the horror we have covered with Natalee Holloway’s disappearance and the need for a vibrant tourism trade has been a constant source of friction on this site.

The Aruban’s rightfully point out that statistically their island is a safer place than most, that they present a safe and fun alternative for a family vacation. They also state that one instance does not a reputation make.

Many others argue the converse side, that Aruba was not responsive to the disappearance of Natalee. That the government and the Dutch legal system systematically covered up the crime and did not work hard for justice. That going to Aruba is a nice idea, but if something goes wrong on your trip, do not count on the legal system to protect you.

Fortunately, and unfortunately, there is truth to both sides. Reading Scared Monkeys is a frustrating experience for the Aruban people. They know that a bad thing happened on the island. They personally want it solved, but they also do not want their livelihood and reputation as a people ruined. I do not blame them. The classic adage, a reputation can take years to build and a moment to destroy, is very true.

The situation is made worse when most of the horror of Natalee Holloway’s disappearance was done by non Arubans. Non locals committing acts that is tearing at the social fabric of the island. This is the huge source of discomfort for the Aruban people. So no matter that the Aruban’s cry that they are a loving people and had nothing to do with this, they are still in the line of fire.
To preserve the reputation as a tourism mecca, Aruba has embarked on a new advertising campaign.

Because of incessant media coverage of Holloway’s disappearance, “now everybody knows Aruba” — and not necessarily in a good way, says Myrna Jansen, managing director of the Aruba Tourism Authority. “Our main priority now is, ‘Let’s get this (Holloway case) solved and resolved.’ It’s not nice for anyone involved.”

There wasn’t a wave of summer cancellations after Holloway’s disappearance, say Jansen and Caribbean-vacation vendors such as Connecticut-based TourScan. In fact, the number of June visitors from the USA increased 10% this year, and July and August hotel occupancy was up over last year, too.

Island tourism officials have resumed ad campaigns suspended during the time the Holloway case was making daily headlines. Jansen hopes bad publicity won’t keep some from choosing the island for fall and winter getaways. (Alabama’s House of Representatives even passed a resolution urging Alabamans to stay away.) But she says fall bookings are running ahead of last year’s.

Will it work, we do not know. However, for many on both sides of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, the bitterness of what has happened will linger on. Odds are if the status quo is maintained, tourism will be hurt. If the numbers are the same, the rates may be lower. If the rates remain the same, the numbers may be lower. In the end, tourism dollars will decrease.
If the call for a boycott occurs, then we are looking at a even tougher hit to tourism.

One way or the other, we all hope that there is a honest and forthright resolution to the matter, both Aruban’s and Americans. Otherwise, this will be a sore that will linger on for a long time to come.

Natalee Holloway; “Wall of Hope” Comes Down

It was a sad day Friday in Mountain Brook, AL as the “Wall of Hope” dedicated to missing teen Natalee Holloway was taken down. Friends and family did stress this is not the end and the searches are far from complete.

“Watching it come down does not mean this is over,” said Marcia Twitty, Holloway’s aunt. “It just means we’re in a new phase. We’re just working on what the next steps are.”

Marcia Twitty stated that the wall needed to be taken out of the weather as parts of it had begun to fade. Tom had noticed this as well when he made his trip to Birmingham, AL earlier this summer attending the Natalee Holloway fundraiser. The wall will be put in storage until it can be preserved. Still in a way it had to be an emotional moment to take a part the wall, the symbol of keeping hope alive for Natalee Holloway.

She said the wall was taken down to protect it from the weather, which was starting to fade and wash off some of the hundreds of notes and signatures. It will be stored in a downtown warehouse owned by Holloway’s parents and friends until it can be restored and preserved. Her family said it could go on exhibit sometime in the future, but no arrangements have been made.

A note and yellow ribbon were left in its place at the entrance to the youth center at Mountain Brook Community Church. The wall went up June 8, just over a week after Holloway, 18, disappeared on a trip to Aruba with other recent graduates from Mountain Brook High School.

It was the brainstorm of Eddie Culpeper, who said he got involved because his daughter was on a trip to Mexico with students from Gardendale High at the time Holloway disappeared. Modeled after the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, it began as two painted plywood sheets topped with a photo of Holloway carved into black granite. Over the summer, it expanded five times. “It’s kind of sad,” Culpeper said as he helped dismantle his creation. “I wish there was some closure to this.”

This does not mean that I believe all of them, and it does not mean that I am picking sides on anything. Yes I have my own opinions and you have yours, but I am asking that you please keep the comments clean! Also I only post the things that seem to be more or less credible. Yeah a couple are not, but people get bored fast so I put a few on so people would stop sending me stupid emails. So I wish for you to not have smart remarks about the things that are posted, because it took my time to do it, and again they are not just the things I believe to be true, and some to keep you interested.

My main reason for making this blog, and my website was to make people realize that we should be worrying about finding Natalee and the truth, NOT PICKING SIDES!

The day hurricane Katrina hit theUS, the lady, who lives in Boston was talking with her sister in Chile. For one reason or another, the telephone lines crossed and all of a sudden she was listening in to an American man speaking to another.

One of the men was telling the other that he was recently in Bogota, Colombia, that he went to a brothel and a young woman working there looked very shy, and he thinks it was Natalee Holloway.

His friend asked if he was sure, and his friend then said that he was quite certain that it was Natalee Holloway.

Her hair was tinted black, and she was wearing a lot of makeup on her face.

The friend asked if he was going to tell the FBI or someone else so that something is done, but the man said he works in washington, and for fear that his family finds out the place he frequented, he won't risk saying something about the matter.

The Chilean lady tells DAIRIO that from what she could gather from the conversation, the establishment is one that highly placed men frenquent, like senators and big businessmen.

During the conversation, she also heard that one of the men thinks that perhaps the father of the Dutch youngster is involved in the Colombian prostitution business.

According to the Chilean lady, different international media published the JvdS story and that his father traveled to Colombia frequently and she asked herself why he would.

The lady also said that she has a 19 year old and feels for the family who is looking for Natalee and hopes that this information can be of help.

The prime suspect in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway has dramatically broken a four-month silence to talk about her final hours.

Speaking about his involvement in the case that has gripped America, Joran van der Sloot, 18, laughed as he swigged beer, smoked menthol cigarettes, and confessed: "I'm guilty — but only of leaving her on the beach." In a series of shocking disclosures, van der Sloot:

RAGED viciously at Natalee's heartbroken mother, Beth Holloway Twitty
INSULTED Natalee by claiming she was "twisted" and cruelly blamed her for his arrest.
BOASTED about having sex on the beach with Natalee
TALKED of his hatred for Americans and called them "bitches"
CONFESSED he lied to police
BRAGGED about how to dispose of a body in Aruba

Joran, still officially under suspicion of rape and murder, went to Holland after he was freed from prison in Aruba on September 2.

The 6ft 5ins honor student quickly enrolled in a business course at a 5,000-student college in Arnhem and, together with his father, Paulus, who was also briefly jailed in the case, moved into a family friend's home in the nearby town of Duiven.

His account of his involvement with Natalee was given to attractive 28-year-old Kristina Pedersen, who got to know him on the Arnhem Business School campus. Over several days, he drank heavily, encouraged Kristina to watch hard core porn and tried to force himself on her. And it quickly became apparent that even now Joran cannot keep his story straight — his account was peppered with the lies that have marked his From Page 34 part in the investigation since Natalee disappeared on May 30.

Kristina said: "One day we shared a jug of beer. Joran looked me in the eye and said, 'Here's to finding Natalee'. "Half an hour later he was trying to kiss me and lure me to a deserted area of a park. Then he suddenly asked me, 'Do you want me to bite you?'"

When asked why he left Aruba, Joran laughed and said: "I was in jail for three months... for a missing girl." He insisted on taking Kristina to the college internet station, where he showed her accounts of the case. "There were pictures of him in handcuffs — and he was obviously enjoying showing them to me. He seemed to think that was pretty cool. It made me nervous." Then, as they drank beer in a pub called De Hangar on September 23, Joran began to give Kristina his version of what happened to Natalee.

"He said that she approached him in Carlos 'N' Charlie's bar and bought a couple of rounds', " Kristina said.

Joran revealed that Natalee lay on the bar and invited him to lick a "jelly shot" — vodka frozen in jelly — from her navel.

"He said Natalee then asked him, 'Do you want to go home with me? and Joran said okay'," Kristina added.

In a dramatic new twist, Joran then claimed that after leaving the bar, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe drove him and Natalee to his home — not to the beach. Kristina said: "They went to his home for a while and then to the Holiday Inn, where she was staying.

"They decided to go for a walk on the beach, and the Kalpoes left. He told me, 'Natalee was totally wasted, and I was drunk. We had sex on the beach'."

Yet in a TV interview recorded just a day later, Joran denied having sex with Natalee and claimed they just "cuddled."

Said Kristina: "He went on, 'Afterwards I asked her if she wanted to go home with me because I had to get up early for school. She said she didn't want to go back there. I told her I had to go, and asked if I could walk her home. She said, 'No — I want to be on my own. I'm staying here.' I left her and went home."

Kristina added: "Joran continued, 'I felt guilty leaving her on the beach. I probably shouldn't have done that, but she wouldn't walk back with me. I had to lie about what happened to the girl because I was the last person to see her. If the lie had been kept up, none of this would have happened'."

O'Reilly boycotts truth to spin French boycott; falsely claimed it "hurt France"

This may be a little old, but I totally agree with Bill on this subject.

On his nationally syndicated radio show, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly touted a boycott of French products, which he began promoting in March 2003 in response to that country's opposition to the Iraq war. Discussing the possibility of calling for a boycott against Aruba if evidence emerged that "the Aruba government is whitewashing" the case of missing American teenager Natalie Holloway, O'Reilly said: "We hurt France, but it took, you know, millions of Americans to say, 'I'm not gonna buy French stuff.' " But the evidence shows that O'Reilly's boycott has not measurably hurt French exports to the United States, which have increased each year since 2002.

Media Matters has repeatedly debunked O'Reilly's false claims of success regarding a French boycott. On April 27, 2004, he asserted that the boycott had cost France "billions of dollars," citing the "Paris Business Review" as a source, but Media Matters documented that Census figures actually showed an increase in U.S. imports from France; additionally, there is no evidence of a publication named the "Paris Business Review."

Later, in a July 6, 2004, letter to the New York Daily News, O'Reilly claimed success because "in the months following the boycott call, France did $138 million less business with the U.S.A. than it did the previous year." In response, Media Matters noted that conclusions drawn from two months of data are meaningless. By contrast, Census figures for a longer time span of four months after March 2003 show that O'Reilly's call for a boycott had no measurable effect on U.S. imports from France; from March through June 2003, French exports increased by $55 million over the same time period in 2002.

Finally, on the July 14, 2004, edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly stated: "French exports to the USA have fallen by more than a billion dollars from 2001 to 2003." In fact, French exports in 2003 increased by $979 million over exports in 2002. This is a more relevant period for measuring the boycott's purported effectiveness, since O'Reilly didn't begin promoting a boycott until March 2003.

That trend has continued: French exports in 2004 increased by nearly $2.39 billion over 2003. In addition, French exports to the U.S. in the first five months of 2005 (through May 2005) increased by more than $1.5 billion over the same period the year before.

O'Reilly has continued to promote and sell "Boycott France" bumper stickers on his website. He renewed his call to boycott France on February 18 and continued to promote his boycott stickers on The O'Reilly Factor, most recently on May 5, June 17, and July 8.

From the July 27 edition of Westwood One's The Radio Factor with Bill O'Reilly:

CALLER: I was just going to say if there's a boycott [of Aruba], all it's going to do is create travel deals for the rest of the country and the rest of the world. And, you know, people are going to go there, especially if, you know, it's affordable. And I don't think a boycott's going to do anything.

O'REILLY: Well, I think you might be right in the sense that, you know, individual boycott, very difficult. We hurt France, but it took, you know, millions of Americans to say, "I'm not gonna buy French stuff." And -- but here's the deal, [caller], here's how you could do this. If it gets to the point where it's obvious the Aruba government is whitewashing the case, then what I'll do is call for the cruise ship companies not to stop there. And that puts pressure on these cruise ships, you know, to either say yes or no.

BETH TWITTY, mother of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, missing in Aruba, plans to meet today with an international attorney in Philadelphia to see if there is anything more she can do to find her missing daughter.

Twitty, on her way here last night in a limousine provided by businessman and philanthropist Joe Mammana, who has contributed $250,000 in reward money in Natalee's case, declined to name the attorney.

"I want to see what my options are, and how do I go about pursuing those," Twitty said.

Natalee, 18, an honors student, hasn't been seen since May 30, the night before she and other students from her Alabama high school were to return home from a senior week trip to the Caribbean island.

Aruban authorities arrested seven men in her disappearance. including two Surinamese brothers and their friend, Dutch teen Jaron Van der Sloot, 17. They were last seen leaving a bar with Holloway the night of her disappearance.

Van der Sloot allegedly has given conflicting statements to Aruban authorities.

All seven have been released, four of them, including van der Sloot's father, a magistrate, early in the investigation.

Van der Sloot and brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe were released on Sept. 3.

"They did it [released the young men] under the cloak of Katrina," when national attention was drawn away from Holloway's case by the hurricane, Mammana said angrily. He said he has been involved in the case almost since it's inception, after learning about it on KYW radio, and talked daily with Twitty when she was in Aruba and "several times a week" to her husband.

Mammana has provided numerous rewards in cases of crime victims and missing persons, among them LaToyia Figueroa, the missing pregnant Philadelphia woman later found slain, allegedly by the father of her child.

Mammana said he would take Twitty before City Council at its weekly session tomorrow . "They want to acknowledge her. I'm going to bring her in with Councilman Jack Kelly," he said.

Van der Sloot is now studying at a university in Amsterdam.

Twitty said last night she would travel to Holland to publicize the case.

"We've had reward posters printed in Dutch. We wanted to make sure it's out in Amsterdam and in the Hague," she said. Aruba is a Dutch protectorate.

"We are so determined," Twitty said. "We just feel like if we just continue, that something will break." She said she wanted to put pressure on Aruban judicial officials to go further with the case.

"These three young men cannot commit the perfect crime," Twitty said.

She said she believed enough pressure would crack one of the suspects "and we will finally find out what happened to Natalee and where she is.

"Twitty said her family still has hope that Natalee will be found safe. "It doesn't look good, but as parents you always have that hope. It's what keeps you going."

Twitty said she feared van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers kidnapped Natalee, "raped her and murdered her. I'm certain they drugged her. That's my worst-case scenario.

"We know the facts. All three of these men have admitted to having sex with her, that constitutes a gang rape."

Van der Sloot and the brothers originally told investigators they had dropped Holloway off at her hotel the night of her disappearance, prompting authorities to arrest two security guards.

Van der Sloot later said he had been on a beach with Holloway but had left her, unharmed.

Dutch Marines, Aruban police and thousands of volunteers have scoured the tiny island, which says has about 71,000 residents, but have found no sign of Holloway. Searching by divers was going on as recently as several days ago but has turned up nothing, Twitty said authorities had told her.

"They're telling me the case is open," she said.

Twitty said previously the investigation by Aruban officials showed a "level of ineptness [that] has been incredible."

Yesterday, Twitty said she believed Natalee's case had been "mishandled. I would say that there is some level of collusion and corruption that has been going on in the investigation."

Mammana called Aruba "a Third World ghetto," where crimes against American tourists go unreported, and said he planned to help Twitty launch a nationwide boycott of the Caribbean nation.

Mammana, a businessman whose investments include suburban real estate and dairy and egg farming, said he would help Twitty find lawyers to press Aruban authorities to go on with the case.

"We're going to hound and harass these people forever," he said.

"The Aruban government and anybody else involved with this, that we feel did not cooperate and help us."

"We're not doing this for money," Mammana said.

"We're doing this for revenge. Forget justice."
